BE STILL AND KNOW

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The tongue is one of the most powerful organs the Lord has blessed mankind with. For you to know whether something is sour or bitter, sweet or delicious, it is this organ that is used to check. Moreover, the status of your life and others now, is dependent on what you have said earlier on. Today, we find ourselves using the tongue to say anything we think we don’t mean. Instead of people using their tongues to say positive things, they find ourselves cursing their stars and reaffirming their current situations will still progress.
For them, they have this perception that, nothing can be changed by what you say but by what you do. It is true that actions speak rather than words, but what words can do, actions cannot accomplish. Imagine spotting a girl in church you want to marry. Do you need actions? Certainly not! You need to propose. That is words. No matter how generous you are to this church girl, she can’t tell what is on your mind. If words are not spoken, you will remain as a brother till you die. Any man who is not bold enough to propose to a woman, is not a man enough to husband her.
Do you think God could have created the universe without words? The universe was made not by actions but by words. There are things only words can do. Look into your life deeply. There are raging situations like the waves of the sea tossing you to and fro. Beloved, you need to rise up and make certain declarations. God didn’t give you the mouth to make it full with food, He gave you the mouth to speak words that will make things still. When there was darkness, God had to speak light into the situation. Don’t make your situation worse by saying negative things, turn them around with words of light.
Condemnation and justification depends on what we say. Be still and know that God is your God. He will never leave you or forsake you. I don’t know what you are going through now, but if you will look at the raging sea of crisis, and be bold and say, ‘Be still and know that, I am righteous. Be still and know that I am holy. Be still and know that, I am blessed. Be still and know that, I am healthy. Be still and know that, I am an overcomer. Be still and know that, I am victorious. Be still and know that, I am fruitful. I am unstoppable. I am unshakable. I am unbreakable in Jesus name. Amen’
