David Abankwah
SERIES: Day 4
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
-Proverbs 13:12 | KJV
Hope is a daily and mandatory requirement God wants from His people to have in Him (Psalm 131:3). Hope brings happiness even in the midst of unbearable situations (Psalm 146:5). God takes pleasure in those who hope in His mercy (Psalm 147:11). Diseases struck the heart and make illnesses worsen just because, there is lack of hope (Proverbs 13:12). Hope is what can keep the righteous alive after death (Proverbs 14:32). Hope of change is what makes a parent chasten his child (Proverbs 19:18). A fool who has hope, is better than a wiseman who trusts in his own conceit (Proverbs 26:12).
A fool who has hope, is better than someone who is quick to speak (Proverbs 29:20). Hope is an essential element for the living. It is hope in the Lord, that keeps you alive (Ecclesiastes 9:4). Hope in God’s truth is the most integral responsibility of every living person (Isaiah 38:18). Hope in the Lord will keep you out of evil (Jeremiah 2:25). Hope in the Lord is the provision of the necessities of life (Jeremiah 2:25). Hope is what will save you in times of trouble (Jeremiah 14:8). Everyone who hopes in the Lord, is a blessed person (Jeremiah 17:7).
Hope is the primitive measure that will keep and prevent you from forsaking and departing from God (Jeremiah 17:13). Hope is what will keep you from the terror of God (Jeremiah 17:17). The will of God works for those who have hope in Him and this will keep them from walking after their own devices (Jeremiah 18:12). Hope is the road on which righteousness thrives (Jeremiah 18:12). The descendants of a hopeful person, benefit in dominion and taking of territories (Jeremiah 31:17). Hope will keep you in remembrance in order to be grateful always (Lamentations 3:21).
Hope is what makes one value God above everyone and everything else (Lamentations 3:24). It is a good thing to hope in the Lord, because it brings God’s salvation closer (Lamentations 3:26). Hope is what confirms God’s word in your life (Ezekiel 13:6). Hope is what makes the impossible, possible (Ezekiel 37:3,7). Hope is what will give you the assurance of enjoying the fruits of your labour (Hosea 2:15). Hope brings strength and quickening (Joel 3:16). Hope is what will anchor you in the strongholds of God (Zechariah 9:12). Hope is what will make you fulfill the love of your enemies (Luke 6:34).
