For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
-1 PETER 3:5 | NASB
The ministry of the Old Dispensation being the shadow of Christianity would not have sustained if the Patriarchs, Prophets, Kings, Judges and Priests lacked the element called hope. It was because of something they saw from afar that made them have the faith to carry on their various ministries. When God calls you, He shows you something worth hoping for and there is nothing greater than the hope of eternal life in New Jerusalem. This element is what fuels up the gauge of faith making you locomote on the road of love to the promised land which have streets made with gold.
There will be times of falling but hope should still keep you going. When you feel like quitting, hope will say, ‘Hey, I have only one definition, and that is expectation. Expect to finish the race successfully, because there is no turning back.’ Hope will make you rely on eternal life which God promised us before the beginning of time (Titus 1:2). Hope will give you the assurance that, you would inherit the possessions of your heavenly Father one day (Titus 3:6). Hope as a wonderful element will help you in the restoration of people through prayers (Philemon 1:23).
Hope will make you hold on to the courage and confidence that makes you the household of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 3:4). Hope will bring you the act of diligence to go the extra mile (Hebrews 6:11). Hope will make you able to wait confidently for the second coming of Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13). Hope is the anchor of life that enters the inner sanctuary that will hold your life safe and secure (Hebrews 6:19). Hope will make you draw near to God by relying on the better hope of the New Testament (Hebrews 7:19). Hope will make you hold on to our faith without wavering (Hebrews 10:23).
Hope will set your mind up in a very serious way always ready for action (1 Peter 1:13). Hope will rekindle the fire of belief you have in God the more (1 Peter 1:21). Hope will make you holy, beautiful and submissive (1 Peter 3:5). Hope will bring about utmost obedience (1 Peter 3:6). If you have hope, you will always honour the Messiah called Jesus Christ in your heart without a wavering faith or doubt (1 Peter 3:15). Hope will bring the act of purity in you making you pure as God is also pure (1 John 3:3). Hope enlightens vision and bring unseen things nearer (3 John 1:14).
Stay Blessed
