HOW THE MIGHTY ARE FALLING

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

On one faithful day, I was conversing with someone concerning her Christian life and she complained bitterly that she couldn’t do the things she used to do. The time she used to have time for God had diminished. I also had a very powerful preacher who used to come around to teach us the ways of God but he had problem stopping the drinking of alcoholic beverages. As he was confronted to stop, he told us that, there was no way he could accept our advice. Shortly after that, he died. When I heard it, I reasoned ‘Such a mighty man had fallen’ and it grieved my heart that maybe he couldn’t repent.
I want to tell you something, don’t take the work of God you are doing as a cover up over your secret sins. Work on yourself well and allow God to deliver you from them, otherwise these sins which no one knows about will take you to hell. Your Pastor cannot be in your secret places always. You know that you can’t do certain things when you are in the church but when you leave, you are the worst pornographic material viewer, adulterer, champion fornicator, idolater, smoker, drunkard, armed robber, husbands and wives snatcher, masturbator, selfish ambitious person, envious and hatred person.
It is within you and you know it. There are some people who don’t sin publicly for you to see, but they sin within themselves. They sin in their minds and hearts. What they think about and what they devise in their hearts are enough to take them to hell. When you preach like this, they say you are judging. You are falling brother. Wake up from your sleep sister. It is now time to repent. When you first became a believer, you were not like this. You will bear with me that, you can’t live the righteous life you once lived. The fact that you still speak in tongues doesn’t mean that the Holy Spirit is in you. He must have left long time.
Remember you used to go to church early. Now you are late always and you think it is cool. You have backsliden. If it was a plane flight you were going to catch, you would have gone there before time. Check your prayer life, fasting times, the time you devote reading your Bible, passion and zeal for soul winning has diminished. Mighty brethren, thou art fallen. Make time to do the things you once did for the Lord and the righteous life you once lived. True repentance is doing what you have been told now. Don’t wait till tomorrow because you will never know when you will die. The time to repent is now, wake up from you sleep and be watchful.
