MASTERY

But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Power is something everyone needs. When you have power you have authority. When you have power, you are able to have mastery as well. People and things obey to be under your subjection and become your servants. You control things because you are the master. A master who loses his power is a slave in the making. The reason why when you sleep, evil spirits sleep with you is all because the power you need to control them is lost. You should have been their master but now, you have rather become their servant.
As God wanted to control things in heaven, He also wanted man as His image and likeness to also rule things on earth. Like a toy for a baby to play around and have dominion, subduction and power over, man was also given the earth to master over (Genesis 1:26). Man was not created to serve the earth but to rule it. River was not created for us to serve it but to rule it. Mountains were not created to rule us either. Today, you see people having all these creatures as their gods they serve but they don’t realise these things should have served them rather.
But where is this power to rule things now? Why are some bereft of power? Why should a believer lose so much power and blame evil spirits for it? Naturally, man has lost the power. That power is not in the seat of Presidents nor seats of kings or earthly kingdoms. This power lies in the Spirit of God. All power in heaven, on this earth and under the earth are His. When you have Him, you are able to control things both spiritual and physical. It was Him man had in the Garden of Eden that made him able to master the earth with all authority.
So David, how do I get this power to master my world? It is simple: You need to get the Holy Spirit. And I must confess, getting the Holy Spirit is not easy as it seems. You must first be determined to repent fully and be converted. Then you need to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. After that, pray for Him. First, He will come to stay upon you, with you and on you. When He has done working on you, He will then stay in you. Your will no longer works but His will for your salvation and that of others come into play. Then you will be able to master things both visible and invisible.
