LORD OF LIFE
David Abankwah
READ: Matthew 6:24
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
-Psalms 33:12 | KJV
I want you to do a small exercise for yourself. Ask yourself these questions and answer for yourself. Who is the God I serve? Who is the Lord of my life? Which spirit controls me? What do I think about always? What do I find yourself talking about with people? Where do I find myself going there a lot? Which friends do I have around me? What interests me so much and what is my ambitions in life? Don’t be in a haste to answer them. Look through your life very carefully and analyze. You will notice that, the first answers you gave were not right.
Today, when you ask everybody that whether they will go to heaven or not, all of them will tell you they are going to heaven but many are liars. It is the God you serve that determines you destination. It is the Lord of your life that will determine your eternal destination. It is the spirit in you that controls you to live the heavenly kind of life on this earth. It is what you think about that shows who you are: whether you are a Christian or you are a sinner. What you talk about with other people will yell you where you are heading towards.
You give majority of your time for your work but less time for God. When there is church service, that day you intentionally ask for overtime from your boss to work extra so that you can miss. You don’t like fellowshipping, yet you say you want to go to heaven. You have friends who are drunkards, fornicators, smokers, liars, homosexuals, idolaters, thieves, hypocrites, blasphemers, unbelievers, yet you are bold to say you will go to heaven. You are not serious! You talk about unnecessary stuffs and still use the same mouth to sing praises to God in church.
Today there are pretenders, hypocrites and liars in churches now. They put up good outward appearances but inwardly they are at loggerheads with God. See the time you spend working for money, but you can’t allocate such time for God. Today when you preach like this, they say you are judging. I am mandated to judge trivial matters because they pertain to the things of this life (1 Corinthians 6:2-3). You better repent and change. Allow God to be the Controller of your life and obey Him always. Living your life with self-will is obeying Satan in the making.
