Transgenderism or transsexualism, or Gender Identity Disorder (GID) or gender dysphoria is a feeling that one’s biological or genetic or physiological gender does not match the gender one identifies with or perceive oneself to be. Transsexuals or transgenders often describe themselves as feeling ‘trapped’ in a body that does not match their true gender. They often practice transvestism or transvestitism and may also seek hormone therapy or gender reassignment surgery to bring their bodies into conformity with their perceived gender which is a way of correcting what God has made.
The term transman refers to a man who has transitioned from female to male and transwoman refers to a woman who has transitioned from male to female. The term transsexual was introduced to English in 1949 by David Oliver Caldwell and popularized by Harry Benjamin in 1966, around the same time, transgender was coiled and began to be popularized. Since the 1990s, transsexual has generally been used to describe the subset of people who desire to transition permanently to the gender they want. Other terms of the transgender umbrella include the androgyny, bigender, pangender, genderqueer, transvestite, drag and intersex.
Paul told Timothy that in the end times, many people would be ungrateful, unthankful and discontented. One of the signs of ungratefulness, unthankfulness and discontentment is the practice of transgenderism. Today, many people are tired of being a man or woman and in that case, seek to change their sex into what they prefer is good for them. Those who practice transgenderism don’t agree with God in Genesis 1:31 when He said that everything He made was good. In this case, a man who thinks he is tired of living as a male goes to the hospital for surgery where he is recreated by doctors to become a woman and vice versa.
God told Prophet Jeremiah that before he was born, He knew him. That means that, it is God who predestined or predetermined your gender before you were even born to fit the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11) and the image of His Son Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29-30). So if you change your gender, it is a big insult to God and an abomination. Before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ, the judgement of transgenders will be so simple that, they will be asked to appear in the gender they were created with and because they can’t change, they will be on their way to the lake of fire!
Prayer Diary: Lord Jesus, I repent from every ungratefulness, discontentment and unthankfulness that lead me to grumble, criticise, murmur, complain or change who You have created me to be in Jesus name, Amen.
