ANXIETY
David Abankwah
READ: 2 Corinthians 11:28

Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
-Proverbs 12:25 | KJV

A friend of mine once told me a dream of Satan being hauled down from heaven to the earth as Revelation 12:9 explained. From the look of how he was narrating the event, it looked very terrifying than it sounded in my ears. I imagined the devil would be a very scary than what we portray him to be. So for many of us who take the devil lightly should kindly revise their notes. It is not that I am exaggerating or taking this too far but that is the way it is. The devil and other fallen angels in the realms of the spirit are more dangerous and terrifying to behold. This world is very gloomy than the way we see it to be.

Spiritual things are more deadly than we see in our dreams. Sometimes spiritual things seem abstract but they real. Because God loves us so much, He has blinded our spiritual eyes to most of these realities. He has also chained and kept the deadliest and most dreadful fallen angels in darkness for the last judgement -Jude 1:6. If you think you are experiencing your worst anxiety, you have not seen anything yet. If the Lord opens your eyes to these creatures, you will forever cling to God. There are more anxieties in the spiritual world than the troubles we are facing in our physical world now.

Today when someone loses his or her job, you see him or her asking God why? Losing a job seem like a nightmare to many believers. It is like when we go through crisis, it looks as if we have been caught in the cage of anxiety. For this reason, many seek for sugarcoating sermons to soothe the pain they are going through. It is like it is an abomination to pass through fire in Christianity. If we have been in the place of Jesus Christ, we wouldn’t have died for the world as He did 2000 years ago. There is no anxiety than the anxiety the soul goes through when the heart is not renewed and made right before the Lord. It takes the Word of God which is the only good Word to make our hearts glad.

Get connected to anointed books. Get connected to anointed sermons. Get connected to Bible studies. Read your Bible, meditate and pray everyday. Let the Word of God sink deep into the well of your heart. Don’t be tired to go to church always. In doing so, the Lord will keep you from the snares of the fowler and from the noisome pestilences that pose threats to the soul. Have time and work on the dreams you have and never take nightmares for granted. God talks to us through dreams. Sometimes the reason why you feel depressed is not the money you are not having but the hell your soul is heading towards.

Prayer Diary: Lord Jesus, please deliver me from anxiety that makes me worried and overly concerned about the things of the world more than my salvation in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
