READ: Psalm 147:5

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and HE KNOWETH them that trust in him.
-Nahum 1:7 | KJV

Have you ever been amazed about the high intelligent quotient someone had in school? Sometimes when the results are released, it is like a judgement day. Fear grips some students like never before just because they know they are not good enough. I quite remember when I was a kid, I used to top the class at will. This continued for a while and it looked like a dead contest because my class knew that David would be first again. There came a time a friend of mine wanted to spoil my day. He lied to me that he had overtaken me in the first position spot. I was highly disturbed. I didn’t know how come this person surpassed my intelligence!

That term was also a third term which we normally grace the term with an occasion called ‘Our Day’ where we bring our own foods and drinks and have fun together. Because my mum knows I would top the class, she always had a different touch on how the food is prepared and someone had to carry my food like a convoy leads an important personality. But that day the convoy led me, but I wasn’t happy. I was disturbed within my spirit. I wasn’t accustomed to being second or third in position because I knew I was omniscient in my class. I couldn’t have fun or even enjoy my food until the reports were given.

There I knew I had topped the class again and I knew my omniscience was maintained. Knowledge varies from person to person but before God, there is no such person as omniscient. It is part of His knowledge that He has given to us. He owns knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Sometimes when we go through trials, sufferings, persecutions and all that, we think God is unaware. We think He had not seen what we are going through but He is aware of everything. Nothing can escape God and nothing can hide from His face. There is no secret He cannot reveal and there is no question He cannot answer.

As believers, we should trust in His omniscience and flow in His love. He is always aware when we are having good times. He is also aware when we are going through bad times. He is aware when we are single and He is also aware when we have to get married. He is aware when we are poor and He is also aware when He should bless us to have abundance. He is aware when our souls are chased down by devils in dreams and He knows when we have good dreams too. He knows the words we have not uttered and the actions we have not exhibited. He knows the deep secrets of our hearts and minds. Nothing can beat His omniscience!

Prayer Diary: Lift up prayers for complete trust in the omniscience of God so that in any situation you go through, you will not doubt or be doubleminded about His goodness and power of His salvation in the name of Jesus Christ.
