IGNORANT?

If you don’t know there are laws in the country, wait until the law is interpreted for you by the judiciary in the court of law. If you don’t know the extent of the punishment of the laws in the country, wait until you break one. Every proper citizen learns the constitution of the land so that he or she can be abreast of them. In that case, he or she can know how to live his or her life in order to avoid all crimes. When you are caught for a crime committed, you can’t excuse yourself that you didn’t know the constitution. The fact that you are ignorant of the law doesn’t mean that you will be spared. There is an old sage that goes that: ‘Ignorance is not an excuse.’
Until you are penalised for the crime committed, you will not go scot-free. When it comes to the constitution of this physical world, many people are very particular about but when it comes to the nation called Christianity, many believers play around the laws of God like there is nothing at stake. Because our progenitors – Adam and Eve sinned against God by breaking the Constitution (don’t eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – Genesis 2:17), every descendant was guilty of sin. Right from your mother’s womb, you are conceived in sin (Psalm 51:5). Every mortal was without excuse or ignorant of the imminent danger of eternal damnation.
For this reason, God devised a plan to save humanity. God made His salvation who is Jesus Christ known to us (John 3:16). As the righteousness of God, He was shown plainly to us as the Son of man. He came and lived with us for 33 years. No one can ever deny there wasn’t a man called Jesus Christ who lived among us. Even we know and believe people who have lived in history who didn’t save us but came to destroy. Notable among these tyrants is Adolf Hitler. If one can remember this man who was a destroyer of lives, one cannot say he doesn’t know Jesus Christ – the Saviour of the world.
Because God didn’t want anyone to defend his or her ignorance in the day of judgement about His salvation, that is why His Son was sent to us. This knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ – the Gospel have to be preached for all to be aware before the world will finally be destroyed. Even if earthy court cannot take ignorance as an excuse, you can’t stand before God who is the Judge of all Judges and defend yourself with ignorance. You and I will bear with each other that when we were coming into this world, we didn’t come with our food, house, clothing, money or what have you. It is the Lord who provides all these. If you are enjoying what He had created, that is an evidence against you in the court of heaven.
Prayer Diary: Lift up prayers to take heed of the knowledge of the salvation and the righteousness of God who is Jesus Christ very seriously so that you will not be condemned in the day of judgement in the name of Jesus Christ.
