SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY
David Abankwah
READ: Matthew 26:38
WHY ARE YOU CAST DOWN, O MY SOUL? And why are you DISQUIETED within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
-Psalms 42:11 | NKJV
The real you is the soul. He is the inner man
whom God created. He is the immaterial being that came from God after He breathed the Spirit or breath of life. Like the body has physical five senses of touch, smell, taste, hearing and sight, the soul also has spiritual senses too. God is so wise that, for us to get a glimpse of spirituality, He has provided the physical world we should learn from. Everything that is in the physical world is also in the spiritual because nothing happens physically without it first existing in the spiritual world!
The mistake many are doing now is that, they focus more on their bodies more than their souls. One of the greatest deception of these end times is the hype of the body more than the soul. The world is always elevating carnal things more than spiritual things that should have benefitted our souls. In this case, many focuses more on the necessities of the body more than the soul. They care for their bodies more than their souls. If you compare the hours you spend on carnal things and compare them with spiritual things, you will know you are also a victim.
The soul is so sensitive that when you are channelling more time for the body, it will notify you. He will notify you through its five senses. Sometimes when you sleep you will see it in your dreams. You will either see that he is been chased down by devils. Sometimes you will be imprisoned. Sometimes you will see someone controlling your soul into places you don’t want to go. These are spiritual signs through the sight of the soul. Sometimes too you can hear a compelling voice through the ears of the soul for you to commit sin. Until you sin, you will never be okay.
The soul smells what is about to happen when God reveals it yet, because many don’t pay attention, many temptations befall them and they still blame God for it. The soul also feels. The soul becomes sad and weak when you are not feeding him with the Word of God because the Word is the food for the soul. The soul tastes too. False teachings is bitter to the tongue of the soul but good teachings is sweet to the tongue of the soul, sweeter than honey (Psalm 119:103). Take heed of the warning signs the soul exhibits and feed him with the things of God.
