THE SONSHIP POWER

The Gospels hold the Truth of Christianity because they contain the life and ministry of the Author and Finisher of Faith – Jesus Christ. The Gospels are dated traditionally as follows: Mark is believed to be the first gospel written around A.D. 60. Matthew and Luke follow and were written between A.D. 60-70; John was the final gospel, written between A.D. 90-100 (who sat down and looked through the Books of Matthew, Mark and Luke and wrote the things they left out). You will see that John chapter 1 was not captured by the first three Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) .
John chapter one holds many revelations of who Jesus Christ was. John being an eyewitness and disciple of Jesus Christ who was prophesied by Jesus Christ that he would not taste death till he had seen the Son of man coming in His kingdom (John died a natural death unlike the fatal death the rest of the disciples experienced. This was because Jesus Christ wanted him to see Him in His kingdom coming – Revelation 22:12 and to be revealed about all the revelations he had to see so he could write the Book of Revelation).
John’s introductory writing of John 1:12, reveals how someone can be a child of God. Today many people say they are children of God because they go to church or probably believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. Believing in the name of the Lord is not a guarantee of you becoming a child of God. If that was the case, then sinners too can easily become one. Christianity is not as easy as some ministers make it look so. To become a child of God you need to have a certain power and this power doesn’t come until you have completely purged yourself from sin.
This power is not a thing but a Person. He is God. His name is called the Holy Spirit and not Holy Ghost. There is difference between a ghost (the soul of a dead human being) and spirit (supernatural immaterial force or being). He only has the power to cause you to become a child of God. Your righteousness means nothing if you are not holy and that holiness can only be attained through the power He has in controlling your life. How you live is controlled by spiritual beings. You can’t live in sin without the influence of evil spirits and you can’t be a child of God without the influence of the Holy Spirit.

Lift up prayers to prepare yourself in mind, heart, and soul by emptying yourself from all sins through the life of righteousness so you can have the power of God to control you in becoming a child of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
