LIKE-MINDEDNESS
David Abankwah
READ: 2 Corinthians 13:11
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be LIKE-MINDED toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
-Romans 15:5 | NKJV
The reason why there are lots of conflicts, misunderstandings, quarrels, grudges, mayhems, bitterness and all manner of offences is because of our differences in the way we think. Because the head of Jesus Christ was God (1 Corinthians 11:3), He was able to live a life without sin. The kind of mindset you have will definitely determine your way of life. If you look at how developed a country is, it will tell you the kind of mentality the citizens and their leaders have. A Culture Is Not Only A Way Of Life But Also A Way Of Thinking.
You can’t live in a clean environment and expect to have the mindset of filth making. A newbie will have to adapt to the new environment through the transformation of his or her mindset. This is achievable through the study of the laws of the vicinity and practice that can enable the person to live a life of purity. Christianity is a nation. This nation has its own laws that govern the citizens’ mindset on how they should speak, how they should dress, how they should live and what have you.
To get into this country, you need to do a passport of believing and confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life (Romans 10:9-10). After that, you need a visa. This visa has three stages: 1. Baptism of water 2. Baptism of the Holy Spirit and 3. Baptism of Persecution. If you pass the first phase (getting the passport), you become a believer. If you pass the second phase (getting the visa) which mostly don’t, you then become a Christian. There is difference between a believer and a Christian but we are mostly confused about the two.
A Christian or a son of God is someone who is like-minded with God. To be like-minded is to: have a like disposition or purpose or to be of the same mind or habit of thought. Jesus Christ being the son of God was like-minded with God that’s why He could say My Father and I are one (John 10:30). The Spirit the Father had was the same Spirit He was also having. It is God’s Spirit that makes us one with God. It is the Spirit that makes us have the mindset of Jesus Christ too (Philippians 2:5). You can only flow with God and man if you have the same mind. Two cannot flow unless they be agreed (Amos 3:3).

Lift up prayers for the like-mindedness of God that His Spirit provides and the mindset of Jesus Christ to fill you so you can live your life in all righteousness, holiness and sanctification in the name of Jesus Christ.
