LEARNING REQUIRES HUMILITY
David Abankwah
READ: 1 John 2:27

TEACH ME to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.
-Psalms 143:10 | NKJV

Have you ever taught someone who thinks he knows more than you but in actual fact, doesn’t know anything? Have you ever been a teacher over varieties of deviant students whose main agenda is to kick you out from their sight? Have you ever been a student under a teacher who is so boring? Have you ever being under a teacher who didn’t always know the answers to the difficult questions you ask? How is your experience under a teacher who makes the understanding of seemingly difficult lessons look simpler than how you ever imagined it to be?

It takes humility to learn new things and it takes another level of humility to learn something you already know. There is wisdom, knowledge and understanding. There are teachers who only impact information (knowledge). There are others who after the lesson you feel like acting on the information you have received (wisdom). There are other teachers who after their lessons make you apply the wisdom you have gained so deep in such a way that you become unique in the crowd (understanding). We have one teacher who does all these. He is the Spirit of God.

The Spirit of God is the best teacher who imparts knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Typologically, He is like a tree who bears seven branches: WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING, MIGHT, COUNSEL, FEAR OF GOD, AND TRUTH. He is part of the Trinity who is sent in this end time to help us in our walks of faith. One of His main ministries is to teach or guide us into all truth (John 16:13). David one time prayed to God to teach Him even if it could take him a day to wait for His lessons. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. -Psalms 25:5 | NKJV

How many of us can pray the prayer David prayed? Today we think we are wiser more intelligent than God. Many of us are so proud that, we rather teach the Spirit of God. We hearken to the voice of our conscience and men than the voice of the Spirit. Today the sermons that branch Pastors should preach from the utterance of the Spirit of God is rather given to them from Headquarters. No wonder most churches of today are filled with demonic teachings, teachings of men, Baal teachings, Jezebelic teachings, teachings of the Antichrist, all prosperity-based teachings and what have you.

Lift up prayers for the humility to learn new things and things you already know from the Spirit of God. Lift up prayers to be submissive under the divine inspiration from Godly vessels in the name of Jesus Christ.
