THE WILE OF BLAME

READ: Ephesians 1:4

Avoiding this: that anyone should BLAME us in this lavish gift which is administered by us
-II Corinthians 8:20 | NKJV

A wile is a trick or stratagem intended to ensnare or deceive. A wile is also a beguiling or playful trick. A wile is also an art or skill in outwitting people with guilt. Blame is an expression of disapproval or reproach or the act of finding fault with people. Blame is caused by the guilt that fills someone who indulges himself in sin. Blame is also caused by the influence of the consistent evil words people had been saying towards someone. Blame is also the declaration made when people give rightful judgements for the evil they had noticed other people are doing.

It is fair to blame people for their sins but the devil doesn’t discriminate between the people he has to blame them. His sole aim is to blame people before God. In heaven that was what he was doing. He was blaming the good angels (brethren) before God for their righteousness (Revelation 12:10). Even though what they were doing was the right thing, Lucifer made it look as if they were the ‘bad guys’ and he was rather the ‘good guy.’ Many who were coerced through the wile of blame lost their righteousness as time went by. They felt guilt within them and started drawing towards him.

That was one of the reasons why he was able to win one-third of the angels of heaven to his side (Revelation 12:4). In the Garden of Eden, that was what he also did in the life of man. He appeared as the Mr. Right or the Angel of light as 2 Corinthians 11:14 puts it and made God’s law of not eating from the forbidden tree looked ‘odd’ to man. He made man feel guilty for carrying the commandment of God. He even went on to blame God for keeping the fact (that when man ate from the forbidden tree his eyes would open and he would know good and evil) from man -Genesis 3:5.

The wile of blame is one of Satan’s 666 ways he uses. Sometimes he reminds you of your past sins, iniquities, transgressions and abominations as blames, making you think God had not and cannot forgive you. He also influence people who are closer to you to make certain declarations or judgements that are untrue serving as retrogressive blamable acts in hindering the growth of your spirituality. He darkens your soul through the acts of accusations to the point that, you feel unworthy of living a life of righteousness, holiness and sanctification.
