DIVINE WORKMANSHIP
David Abankwah
READ: Malachi 2:10
For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
–Ephesians 2:10 | NKJV
We are the workmanship of God (Exodus 31:3; 35:31) because it was His Spirit that made us (Job 33:4). He created, crafted, effected, made or produced us to fulfill certain purposes. He didn’t create man to please man but to please Him. That was why everything He created, He saw that it was good. Man is not a judge of the things God created or what we think He needed to have done. But what do we see today? Many people, even believers are correcting the creations of God because they think God made certain mistakes during His creation. What an abominable intention!
Many of those who are short don’t like their shortness. Many of those who are tall, don’t like their tallness. Those who think they are ugly want to make up for their ugliness. Many of those who are black don’t want to maintain their black beauties. Many bleach to have lighter skin colours. When you build a house, it is not the house that tell the houseowner to paint it the way it wants but it is the houseowner that determines its colour. Sometimes I don’t know what is in fairness that many people want it like that.
We are divine workmanships and not our own workmanships. We didn’t create ourselves, but God who did that. He is wiser than us and He knows why He made us the way we are. We can attest to the fact that, it is covetousness, greed, wanting-to-be-like-others syndrome, and inferiority complex that make many think God didn’t create them well. Well, if God didn’t create you well, create your own dust and make yourself up. Be content with what you have and flow in the status, position, class or office of ministry God has placed you. God knows us more than we know ourselves.
He knows that the only way He can make you go to New Jerusalem is through poverty, so you can rely on Him all the time. He knows that the only way to make you serve Him is through ugliness so you won’t have much to do with sexual immoralities. Sometimes certain diseases struck us not by the causes of evil spirits but by God Himself. He kills, He makes alive, He wounds and He heals. These are all important so we can function well in Christianity. Don’t make yourself a Prophet when you know God has chosen you to be a Pastor.

Lift up prayers for contentment to be okay with what God has made you, the position or status He has placed you and what He has entrusted in your hands so you can excel in every good work of Godliness and office of ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.
