RENEWED HEART

I will give you a NEW HEART and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

God has a part to play in our salvation. He is the Helper and not the doer. He has ultimately helped us on the cross and that is called grace. If God had finished our salvation for us He wouldn’t have told us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. It is when we are doing our works of salvation, that He steps in to help. If you read Philippians 2:13 you will understand what I mean. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure -Philippians 2:13 | NKJV. God knows what He meant in His Word. Many people think Jesus Christ saying it was finished on the cross was the end of salvation.
If that was all, after we accept Him, we would have been raptured at that instance. It is because of works that we are all here. To work out our own salvation well, we need a renewed heart. According to Romans 10:9, the heart is the faith organ. The mouth confesses onto salvation but it is the heart that believes onto righteousness which God is looking for in every believer (Romans 10:10). There are about four main types of hearts. We have 1. The wayside heart (Matthew 13:4). 2. Stony heart (Matthew 13:5). 3. Thorny heart (Matthew 13:7). 4. Fertile heart. By now you should know the type of heart you have so you can know how to deal with it.
What is the spiritual health status of your heart? Is it stony, rocky, wayward, or fertile? Jehovah Rophe, the God who is our Doctor is capable of healing the spiritual hearts of our souls. All you have to do is to allow Him to work on your heart for you through His Word. He sends His word and heals our diseases. A lot of people are physically healthy but spiritually dead because their hearts are so corrupt. If you don’t have a good heart, you can’t know God. You complain you don’t hear God’s voice. You complain that God doesn’t reveal Himself to you like He does in the lives of others. Have you checked the spiritual health of your heart?
The Bible says in Matthew 5:8 that, Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. The reason God is not in good terms with you is because of your hardened heart. You can store people’s issues in your heart but you can’t remember John 11:35. Shame on you! There are many ways through which your heart can be renewed. Your heart can be renewed through humility. Your heart can be renewed through obedience. Your heart can be renewed divine mercy. Your heart can be renewed through repentance. Your heart can be renewed through prayers offered in righteousness. Eternal life is for those whose hearts are renewed or made right by God.

Lift up prayers, committing your heart onto God so there can be renewal of heart for the carrying of your work of salvation effectively and efficiently in the name of Jesus Christ.
