SEEKING THE LORD

READ: Deuteronomy 4:29

So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
-Acts 17:27 | NKJV

1. You can seek the Lord when you repent and convert from your evil ways (Luke 15:4-7; Ezekiel 18:31-32; Acts 3:19). 2. You can seek the Lord when you call upon God or pray to Him not only when you need Him (Jeremiah 29:12-14a; Deuteronomy 4:29). 3. You can seek the Lord when you serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind and heart (1 Chronicles 28:9; Psalms 7:9). 4. You can seek the Lord when you cast all your cares upon the Lord and not men or not leaning on your own understanding (1 Peter 5:7; Psalms 55:22; Philemon 4:6). 5. Seeking the Lord is fellowshipping with one another in the Lord (Hebrews 10:25).You can seek the Lord when you keep your tongue from evil, do good, seek peace, and pursue it (Psalms 34:12-16; 1 Peter 3:10-12). 7. You can seek the Lord when you forsake your evil ways and thoughts (Isaiah 55:6-7; Psalms 139:1). 8. You can seek the Lord when you have clean hands, pure heart, when you don’t lift your souls to idols, when you don’t swear by what is false (Psalms 15:1-5; 24:4-6). 9. You can seek the Lord when you do what is right and live your life in all humility (Zephaniah 2:3). 10. You can seek the Lord when you love God and keep Him in your heart (Proverbs 8:17; John 14:21). 11. Seek the Lord’s Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

You can seek the Lord when you persistently search for Him with all perseverance (Matthew 7:7; Acts 8:26-40; 1 Chronicles 15:1-3). 13. You can seek the Lord when you have truth in Him, believe that He lives and He dwells among us (Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:6; John 21:1-7; Psalms 14:2; 40:1-2). 14. You can seek the Lord when you live your life in all humility (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5; Isaiah 57:15). 15. You can seek the Lord with fervent and frequent prayers (Colossians 4:12-13). 16. You can seek the Lord when you avail yourself to the Word of God and obey it (James 1:22). 17. Seeking the Lord is loving one another (John 13:34).

18. Seeking the Lord is being joyful in all circumstances (2 Corinthians 7:4). 19. Seeking the Lord is living peaceably with all men and making peace between lost souls and God (Romans 12:18; Matthew 5:9). 20. Seeking the Lord is living your life in all longsuffering in service to God (1 Timothy 1:16). 21. Seeking the Lord is being kind to one another (Ephesians 4:32). 22. Seeking the Lord is being faithful to God and loyal to men (Luke 16:10). 23. Seeking the Lord is living your life in all gentleness (1 Thessalonians 2:7). 24. Seeking the Lord is having self-control over various temptations (2 Peter 1:6).
