THE DISCIPLINARY FATHER

The Wonderful God, the Counselor, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace in Isaiah 9:6 is the same Everlasting Father who punishes His children when they sin. The Merciful God, Gracious God, Loving God, God of Kindness, God of Goodness is the same God who chastens. If the world has spared the rod and they are spoiling their children, God is not a bad Father at all. His rod of discipline is still there for all His children. Anytime you offend Him, He will definitely punish you. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:15 that, foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him. Sonship discipline doesn’t mean your Father hates you.
There is no offence without discipline. So if you don’t want discipline, you better do what is right always. There is no Father who will take a cane and start punishing his children without offence. We all know that whatever we sow is what we will reap. If you sow seeds of fornication, God will punish you based on that. He can punish you with sexually transmitted infections or diseases. You will buy all the medicines in this world or go from hospital to hospital, but you can’t be healed. Until the time that God is okay with the punishment that He will lift up the curse of disease. There is a price to pay for every evil life you live under the sun.
If you don’t want trouble, please stay in your lane of righteousness, holiness, and sanctification. The punishment is dependent on the level of Christianity you are. The punishment for 30% Christians who have sinned, actually delays for years. When it comes, they often forget about it and start blaming their stars or evil spirits for that. The punishment for 60% Christians who have sinned, comes less than a year. It is quiet severe than the 30% ones. For the matured ones, thus 100% Christians who have sinned, it is a matter of days, usually below 40 days. Their punishment is very very severe because they are matured!
The Persecuting Saul who became the Preaching Paul, who usually persecuted the church when he was an unbeliever, was the Apostle who suffered much persecution in his ministry. The persecution seeds he sown was what he reaped in his ministry. Ananias and Sapphira also sowed seeds of lies and were killed in the church by the Holy Spirit. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah who sowed seeds of sexual immorality were burnt down by fire from God. Lucifer sowed a seed of rebellion and was overthrown from heaven together with those who followed him. Every deed has its meted out wage. Death is one of the punishments of God (Romans 6:23).

Lift up prayers for the strength of God to keep you on the narrow road so you will have a taste of God’s discipline by locomoting on the broad road in the name of Jesus Christ.
