SIMILITUDE

I and My Father are one.
-John 10:30 | NKJV
Apart from the Word of God who was one with the Father, God wanted to have His resemblance. Even though at that time, God had already created angels, the twenty four elders and the four living creatures, they were not like Him. Because they were not like Him, He couldn’t call them sons. Because they were not begotten from God, they didn’t fit the bill of being called children of God. For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”?
-Hebrews 1:5 | NKJV. In the beginning was the Word, which means the Word of God was in the Father, but He was not yet revealed.
After God finished creating the universe, He thought of creating someone to be like Him, to have His image and likeness. Someone He could begot. People He could call a ‘sons.’ He knew He had to create sons after His firstborn Son, ‘JESUS CHRIST’ to rule or subdue the earth as He (Jesus Christ – John 1:3) also subdue or preside over everything He (the Father) has created. That was the reason man was created. Jesus Christ or the Word of God was the template God used to create man so man could have the resemblance of His Prime Son as He also resemble the Father too. As the son was full of grace and truth (John 1:14), so He wanted man to also be filled with.
For whom He foreknew, HE ALSO PREDESTINED TO BE CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren -Romans 8:29 NKJV.
In Genesis 1:26, God used the Son as a template for the creation of man. That was why He had to speak a Word. He said, ‘LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR OWN IMAGE ACCORDING TO OUR LIKENESS.’ Jesus Christ, the Prime Son of God demonstrated that He was the template of man’s creation when He spat on the ground and used it to mix with mud to heal the eyes of one blind man and told him to wash it behind the pool of Sidon (the anointed). That saliva symbolises the Word of God.
Why was God wanting to have more sons even though He first had a Son who was in Him? This is because, God rejoice in the company of sons or children (Proverbs 8:31) . What a joy to behold as a Father when many children gather around you. Also, God wanted to leave many inheritances for many children and not only one child (Romans 8:17). Every child of God has a similitude character as God has. The character of every child of God is that, that person loves righteousness and practise it and hates lawlessness (Hebrews 1:9). Many people claim they are children of God but they do the opposite like Adam their progenitor did in the Garden of Eden and became the child of Satan.

Lift up prayers for grace to overcome all nature and actions of sin that destabilize your nature as a child of God to carry out the actions of holiness in the name of Jesus Christ.
