FAITH WALK
David Abankwah
READ: Romans 1:17
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
-II Corinthians 5:7 | NKJV
Faith is an important element in our Christian walk with God. Even though, love is the greatest among the three key virtues of Christianity which are faith, hope and love, it is impossible to please God if you lack faith (Hebrews 11:6). That means if you doubt God and practise love, you can’t please God. In other words if you doubt God and practise hope, you can’t please God. You can be a really good person but if you don’t place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, you can never have salvation. Those who have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are those who can become children of God. Those who are children of God are those people the Lord is pleased with (Matthew 3:17).
There is no way you can never live in this world without having your faith in something. If your faith is not in Jesus Christ, your faith can be in Mohammad, Gautama Buddha, Confucius, Hare Krishna, smaller gods, secret societies, illuminati, smaller gods and what have you. We know vehicles have caused many accidents and consequent deaths, yet we still sit in them. We have faith that, when we change gears, it will work. We have faith that, when we apply brake, it will work. We have faith that when we steer to the right direction the steering wheel will work to its perfection. We have faith that we will reach our destination safely.
Why is it that we can have faith in man-made things but cannot place our faith in Jesus Christ in dying seasons of our lives? Walking with God has to do with faith. Prayer is faith. To pray to God whom you are not sure that whether He is hearing you or not. To pray to God is to pray to someone whom you have not seen before. To pray to God is to have a conversation with someone whose answers to your requests are three: yes, wait and no. For God to answer your prayers, it requires faith (Mark 11:24). Evangelism and soul-winning requires faith. Unless the sinner believes that God had raised Jesus Christ from death and confess his mastery and Lordship over his life.
When you have faith, you speak. When you have faith, you act. That is why faith without works is a dead faith. If only you have faith in Jesus Christ, you would work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, living in all acts of righteousness, holiness, and sanctification. Today after many people have believed in Jesus, they say once saved is forever saved. Satan and other evil spirits even believe and they even tremble. What differentiates a Christian from evil spirits is the works of salvation such as holiness, sanctification, and righteousness. You can believe in Jesus Christ but if you don’t work our your own salvation onto the very end of your life you will perish like Judas Iscariot who had once believed.

Lift up prayers for the strength of God to overcome all wavering fronts of doubt, insecurities, worries, and cares of this world so you can walk with God always in faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
Quote
Without works of faith, there is no difference between a demon and a believer.
