THE LOAD SHARER
David Abankwah
READ: Revelation 2:24

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
-Matthew 11:28 | NKJV

There are many burdens in this world. Burden of health issues, burden of financial crisis, burden of social problems such as stigmatization, inferiority complex, depression, and what have you. Burden of marriage issues such as loneliness, divorce, lack of submission and love. Burden of poverty making you unable to do the things that requires money to accomplish. There is this burden of relationships concerning the taking care of the family, household you find yourself or the people who are closer to you one way or the other. There is this burden of the provision of physiological needs such as food, water, clothing, and shelter.

Many at times, we usually focus on ‘these things’ which become burden for us but none of the things of the earth will ever give rest to the soul. Because many are carnally minded, they usually do not give attention to the burden the soul carries that he needs rest. Sometimes lack of joy, fear, doubts, chronic lies, and inability to stop sinning, are glimpses of the evidences of the things that Satan has burdened the soul with. For this spiritual burden, your wife cannot give you rest. For this burden, your husband cannot give you rest. For this burden, your boss cannot give you rest. For this burden, your Pastor cannot give you rest too.

This burden of salvation that the soul needs rest can only be achieved in the Lord Jesus Christ. When God walked the earth, He proclaimed that, “Come to me, all you who labour, and I will give you rest.” When you sin, you become a slave of sin. A slave labours more than a son will do. In a house, the difference between a son and a slave is dependent on the status or kind of work one does and one does not do. Though a son can serve but it is not all work that the parents will allow the son or the child to do when the slave is around. For 4000 years, Satan had used men to serve in his house of darkness.

Man had being serving all the time and the salary that man thought he could even have was not a good one too. The salary of this slavery was DEATH (Romans 6:23). But Jesus Christ our God, has shed His blood to redeem us from this slavery into the liberty of His house of light to walk in the liberty of His kingdom. Are you going to keep working for Satan or you will accept the love of Jesus Christ? There is a certain eternal burden beyond this earth that the soul is going to face if you reject the love of Christ. Anyone who chooses Satan above Jesus Christ as His Master will have his part in everlasting doom of slavery in the lake of fire.

•| Prayer Diary |•
Lift up prayers onto Jesus Christ to give you rest from every burden of sin that worries your soul or keep oppressing him so you can walk in the liberty of holiness in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
The world’s most strongest is Jesus Christ who was able to carry all the sins of the world on His shoulder.
