DISPENSATION OF LAW
David Abankwah
READ: Romans 10:5

FOR THE LAW WAS GIVEN THROUGH MOSES, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
-John 1:17 | NKJV

After the dispensation of ignorance, conscience and promise had all come to pass, God thought He had to walk with men by giving them the Bible – the manual for their lives. With it, man would know in depth, the way of life they should live so they could get back to Him. Since the dispensation of ignorance started with Adam, the dispensation of conscience started with the wickedness of men through Cain, and the dispensation of promise started with Abraham – the Pioneer of the Prophetic Seat of Ministry, the dispensation of law needed to have a Pioneer. This is because there can’t be the law without an interpreter or teacher.

In our world now, the Makers of the law is the Legislature – belonging to the branch of government that is charged with such powers as making laws, levying and collecting taxes, and making financial appropriations. But after the laws are made, the judiciary – another arm of government has to interpret the laws to the layman through judicial processes. When you take your matter to the law court, the law of the legislature is just interpreted in the court to settle the case. That is the same in Christianity. God’s Word is His Legislature. He makes His laws but it is left for the teacher (judicial) to interpret the law of God to the church and that is what many believers don’t like.

The teaching ministry was the main essence of Moses’ calling. Moses was the first person to sit on the seat of the teaching branch of the five-fold ministry. Because teachers need to learn the law, Moses usually spent time or had his quiet times with God. Anyone who is chosen to be a teacher must sit on the seat of Moses. In Matthew 23:2, Jesus Christ told His disciples and the multitude that the Scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat – which is the judicial arm of the kingdom of God or the teaching ministry of the five-fold ministry. In this seat, lies anger. Most teachers are quick-tempered; they believe in what they know; and they don’t want anyone to teach them.

Moses taught the Israelites the laws of God and had to write a Book of the Law (moral and ceremonial laws) apart from the Ten Commandments which was put beside the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 31:24-29). It were these laws that Jesus Christ had to come and die to save us from and not the Ten Commandments. Yet, many Jews were stiff-necked and couldn’t reach the promised land. As it was in the days of Moses when the Israelites despised the teachings of the Lord so it is now in our days. Wherever there are laws, many people think they are restricted from enjoying their lives. If you want freedom to live anyhow, then Christianity is a wrong move.

•| Prayer Diary |•
Lift up prayers for humility to subject yourself under the laws of Christ so you can love God with all your mind, heart, soul, and strength and to love your loved ones and enemies in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
Christianity is not a democratical kingdom but an autocratic divine governance.
