THE DAY OF THE LORD

“FOR THE DAY OF THE LORD upon all the nations is near; as you have done, it shall be done to you; your reprisal shall return upon your own head.

Today the message of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is becoming more and more unpopular, outmoded, and shameful to preach about, but this is one of the Gospel messages that need to get across for the end to come (Matthew 24:14). If believers want the day of the Lord to come earlier than expected, we need to get the message of the second coming of Jesus Christ to the world. We need to broadcast it to our friends. We need to broadcast it to our families. We need to broadcast it to our workers. We need to broadcast it to our church members. We need to broadcast it to other religions. We need to broadcast it to everyone we get the opportunity to share with.
The day of the Lord was pre-annnounced in the days of Noah. The people thought that Noah was making stories up. Those who thought they were wiser than him condemned him with their school knowledge. The scientists even made it worse that from the beginning of the world, nothing of that sort had happened before. The psychologists even thought Noah was mad to tell such a story tale. The economists thought Noah was broke and needed money. The politicians thought all the preaching Noah was doing was purposely for fame or attention. It was even worse for Noah when the citizens instead of heeding to the message, continued eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage.
It is same in our time now. Many people instead of heeding to the message of the second coming of Jesus Christ, think they have many excuses that are better than this danger that is coming. Beloved, that day of the Lord, no sinner can stand it. Because the Lord loves you is why He is sending this message across through this devotional. Please it’s okay with the evil life you have lived. It is okay you have lied for a while. It is okay you have been a homosexual for a while. It is okay you have been a champion fornicator for a while. It is okay you have been a envious, jealous, bitter, and hateful person for a while. Please repent and be converted from all your sins!
If Satan and his cohorts who were made with wind and fire can’t even stand the lake of fire, how much more you a soul who is fireless? As the first day of the Lord came in the form of rain to devour the whole earth, so it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah when the second day of the Lord came in the form of fire and brimstone. The third day of the Lord is the final one. It is the eternal one! It is the final judgement! It is only righteousness, holiness, and sanctification that can make you escape that great and dreadful day. Salvation is individualistic. Believe in Jesus Christ, confess your sins and work your own salvation with fear and trembling. Stay Blessed.
