HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
David Abankwah
READ: 1 Corinthians 12:13
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, UNLESS ONE IS BORN OF water and the SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
-John 3:5 | NKJV
On one beautiful day, Jesus Christ met a Samaritan woman and He exchanged pleasantries with her but she seemed reserved because Jews had no dealings with Samaritans. Upon further evangelistic technique by Jesus Christ, the woman had a flow in the conversation. As the conversation seemed interesting, Jesus Christ said something that all believers must take note of. He said that God is Spirit and the true worshippers must worship God in truth and in Spirit (John 4:24). Before He said this, He had already told Nicodemus the same thing but in a different way. He told Nicodemus that he must be born of the Spirit (John 3:5).
For water baptism, it is done by a Minister of God but the Holy Spirit baptism is not done by any Minister but Jesus Christ. John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. HE WILL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE -Luke 3:16 | NKJV. A Minister of God can lay hands for impartation of some spiritual gifts but you can’t impart the Holy Spirit without His approval. You can’t command Him to stay in someone He is not willing to. He comes on His own because He is not a force; He is a personality. The Holy Spirit is just another name for the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:17).
Jesus Christ in flesh is called Son of man and Jesus Christ in Spirit is called the Holy Spirit. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is not His -Romans 8:9 | NKJV.
The mistake many believers do is that they call the Holy Spirit the ‘Holy Ghost.’ He is not a ghost. God is Spirit and not a ghost, please. A ghost is the soul of a human being whose body is dead. God is not dead for you to call Him a ghost. That is the reason many can’t receive Him. If you call Him a ghost, He will never come into you. You can have Him living with you, upon you or on you but to be in you, He will never stay there.
For the Holy Spirit to stay in you, He has to realise that you will not sin again and that, the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed your soul. Spirits live in blood because life is in the blood. The Holy Spirit can’t live in your blood but only in the blood of Jesus Christ. That is why in the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit didn’t stay in anyone but only came upon them. Also, for the Holy Spirit to come and stay in you, you have to be a very truthful person. He is the Spirit of Truth. If you are a liar, He can never stay in you. New speaking of tongues is not the only evidence of the Holy Spirit in you. The sure evidence is the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23.

Lift up prayers for the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse your soul after your repentance and conversion, so you can be baptised in the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
Quote
Jesus Christ in flesh is called the Son of man. Jesus Christ in the Spirit is called the Holy Spirit.
