THE 30% CHRISTIAN

Christianity is in levels, grades or stages. Because God wanted to demonstrate this to us, He came down on earth to show us. Taking the form of man was to show us how Christianity is and how we can grow in it. God as we all know, became a son of man. He became a man to show us how to get to Him. He didn’t descend as a matured person but as a child. He passed through the normal system of life and ministry. God became a baby for Mary to feed him with breastmilk. He became a baby to be taught how to speak. He became a baby to be taught how to walk. He became a baby to be taught how to bath and what have you. Teaching and obeying it, is what makes you grow.
Unfortunately many believers don’t like teaching at all. Many like prayers and not the Word of God. When it is time for teaching in many churches, many church members don’t go but when it is time for prophetic hours, prayer times, and counselling, the church becomes full. No wonder many believers are still babes! If you are unwilling to be taught or fed by the breastmilk of the Word of God for growth, you will remain in your 30% Christianity. We should not be shocked to realise that, many Christians who profess to be matured are still spiritual babes now, because the church of Corinth suffered the same fate some time ago when Paul visited them (1 Corinthians 3:1-4).
From the time of Cain to the time of John the Baptist, no one had 30% because of the law. Anyone who has faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and confess Him as His Lord and Master, is justified with the 30% mark. This is because, the Word of God that the person heard built a certain faith in him (because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God) and that yielded the thirtyfold fruit in him after he accepted Jesus Christ into his life. Because the person is not matured, he is susceptible to falling. Paul mentioned some of the evidences of 30% Christians. 1. A 30% Christian can only accept the milky food of God’s Word. 2. A 30% Christian cannot bear with the solid food of God’s Word. 3. A 30% Christian is readily disposed to carnality. 4. Some or all the works of the flesh (adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, disagreement, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like) are evident in the life of a 30% Christian. 5. A 30% Christian is always a learner and not a teacher 6. God cannot reveal Himself plainly to a 30% Christian 7. A 30% Christian does not have the Holy Spirit living in him. 8. A 30% Christian doesn’t understand the things of God. 9. A 30% Christian cannot receive any gift of the Holy Spirit. 10. God cannot reason with a 30% Christian.
