EVIL ABHORRENCE

Let love be without hypocrisy. ABHOR WHAT IS EVIL. Cling to what is good.

No one can testify to the fact that he or she doesn’t know what sin is. Even our consciences bear us witness that there are certain things that are good and evil, naturally. Sometimes, doctors tell us to refrain from certain foods so we can live longer. Failure to obey certain health guidelines, means you are getting closer to your grave. Carnal humans who wants to live longer adhere to such instructions but obeying the instructions of God who created us, has become a tug of war. If we can refrain from foods that could harm our physical body, then we need to realise that, there are certain foods that also kill our souls. It is because of one’s spiritual health that the Gospel is proclaimed everyday to our hearing.
Jesus Christ who is our Jehovah Rophe, our spiritual doctor, and central figure of the Bible, has told us from Genesis to Revelation, that sin is the spiritual food that kills our souls. Abhorring the habit of eating certain foods is not difficult for us at all, but abhorring the habit of sinning has become something that seems impossible for mankind. Some Pastors say that no one is perfect, but these same Pastors have church members who have been able to stop eating certain foods for years. If your church member is able to set him or herself apart (instance of physical holiness) from a physical food that can bring harm to his or her body, then he or she can do better in his or her spiritual life. Holiness is possible!
If abstinence from physical food is possible, then perfection cannot be far from fetched. Day in and day out, people die and go to hell just to realise the unimaginable pain beyond recognition just because they thought life was all about the physical body. If you think about your soul, then you won’t say when you stop practising prostitution, what will you eat? Such stupidity! Sometimes some people are so foolish that they deserve to be told so. When you were alone in your mother’s womb, God took care of you. There was no sex spender in there. Beloved, if you don’t stop that evil job, you can’t serve God well. How can you be a believer and work in an company that deals in alcoholic beverages?
You have been a believer for ages, but you can’t stop gossiping, hating people for no reason, forgiveness has become a bitter medicine to swallow, theft has become the order of the day in your workplace, adultery, fornication, masturbation, pornography, bestiality, and fornication among the youth have become rampant, oral sex, and anal sex have even become practices of married couples. Such people are still in churches always hearing the Word of God but they can’t abhor what is evil and cling to what is good. Jesus Christ, took a whip and drove traders out of his church but I believe now, He will just use an excavator to destroy the churches because there is no difference between sinners and church goers now.

Lift up prayers for the blood of Jesus Christ to sanctify your soul from all sins. Ask of the Holy Spirit to come and stay in you and control your soul into all holiness in the name of Jesus Christ.
