JESUS CHRIST
(THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD)
David Abankwah
SERIES: Day 11
Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
-II Corinthians 5:16 | NKJV
There are many ways we know people. Some know people by just their names. So for instance when someone else’s mention the name of the person we know somewhere, we say, ‘Oh I know that fellow.’ Some also know people through other people which we call friends of friends. They may not have met them before but because the friend he is related to knows the person, the other party also assumes he also knows the person. Some know others by their homes. That means they can lead you to the person’s house but the person can’t tell you much about the one you are led to. Some people also know other people through casual acquaintance but not closer enough.
Some know a person by reading about him or her which could be through books or other media. That is what many believers know Jesus Christ through. We have read about Him and we think we know Him. For you to know someone very well, you need to stay with the person. No one knows a person than the parent, guardian or the spouse of the person because they are the ones who stay with the person under the same roof. They know the habits, character, lifestyle, likes, dislikes and hobbies of the person more than outsiders. You can know in part about a person as Paul put it in 1 Corinthians 13:9 but to know the person in full, you need to stay with the person.
Many believers know Jesus Christ in part, thus that part of Him in flesh. They know Jesus Christ in part as the God who were born and raised in the Palestine. They know Jesus Christ in part as the God who became hungry. They know Jesus Christ in part as the God who run away from the people who wanted to hurt Him. They know Jesus Christ in part as the God who wept. They know Jesus Christ in part as the God wanted to escape the death He came for. They know Jesus Christ in part as the God who couldn’t even carry His own cross but had to be helped. If you still know Jesus Christ in the flesh or as the Son of man, you can’t serve Him as God.
For us to know Jesus Christ well, we need to know Him in the Spirit. That is why the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:17) is here to give us the liberty to know Him well in full. He is not even here to stay with us, but to stay in us. He wants us to know Him not in the flesh but in the Spirit so we can be true worshippers (John 4:23). God is not a flesh to know Him of; He is a Spirit and it takes a Spirit to know another Spirit. We are the temple of Him which He stays in us, so our souls can know Him very well. We now no longer know Him in flesh because, flesh is limited, but now in full through the fellowship of His own Spirit.

Lift up prayers for the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse your soul so His Spirit can also inhabit you and teach you what you need you know about Him in the name of Jesus Christ.
Quote
True worshippers are the ones who know Jesus Christ in full (spirit) and not in part (flesh).
