(THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD)

Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our GREAT GOD and Savior Jesus Christ,

There are many smaller gods in this world. The angels who rebelled against God, had many domains they operated over. Like a kingdom, they were in charge of various roles like man was given domain not by creative power but by delegated authority. Some of these fallen angels had a domain that main them claim rulership and worship from men. These fallen angels are what we call ‘smaller gods’ or ‘idols’ or other gods. These sect of fallen angels are what God warned us about in Exodus 20:3-4 that we shouldn’t worship or serve them or refrain from making images of them or refrain from idolising people or other things.
Today, when something is unusual in the world, many people tend worshipping or serving that thing. Because legalising bestiality has become the other of the day, such abnormal creatures are now worshipped by many people. When it first started in many countries where many people alive or dead were idolised, or images of what many thought as the Great God, worshipped such people and things. This is what Paul encountered in Greece when the Athenians built an altar with the inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD in Acts 17:23. Many believers think they are serving the Great God, but they don’t know Him.
As the Athenians didn’t know the God/god they were serving so it is in our time now. If we truly know the Great God we are serving, we wouldn’t live our lives in sin all in the name of grace. If we truly know the Great God we are serving, we will never doubt His existence. If we truly know the Great God we are serving, we wouldn’t say He is Three. If we truly know the Great God we are serving, we wouldn’t see material things as blessings. The Athenians even did well by saying TO THE UNKNOWN GOD (JESUS CHRIST) and not TO THE UNKNOWN GODS (FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT as three different Gods).
If we know that this unknown God who is also the Great God or the One and Only True Living God who will come the second time, then, we will find out that His name is Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:30; Revelation 22:12). If the unknown God is One and He will come again the second time, then we will realise that, God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit is One and His name is Jesus Christ. If the Athenians even who were unbelievers saw that God is One, then believers who think God is three should quickly revise their notes. No wonder the last (unbelievers) will become the first (believers) and vice versa.

Lift up prayers for the earnest expectation of looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus Christ our Great God and Saviour in the name of Jesus Christ.
