(THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD)

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

There are many gods around us that many people worship, but these gods do not have love for those who worship them. They can do something good for you today but in the future, you will repay for it with your soul. True love is the warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion towards the things that benefit our souls. You can think a god loves you by providing you blood money. You can think a god loves you by providing you a child. You can think a god loves you by protecting you from harm. You can think a god loves you by providing you a spouse to marry. You can think a god loves you by doing various acts of physical goodness.
But greater love has no other God than Jesus Christ whose love benefitted our souls. First of all, as humans, we broke His laws, missed the mark, went about our own ways, and didn’t mind Him when He prompted us to seek His face. Because of His greater love that He thought of bestowing on us, He planned His first coming upon the earth so He could die and save us. If it was not because of love, no Creator would ever die for the creature. Because love believes all things (1 Corinthians 13:7), He had the faith that we could become His children irrespective of our current states of sin (1 John 3:1).
Also, because of love, this Great God whose name is Jesus Christ, was not self-seeking (1 Corinthians 13:5) to have Himself as the only Holy God, but thought of raising sinners so they too could become holy as Him (Leviticus 11:44). Because of love, this Great God did not puff up and didn’t even parade Himself by coming in the form of God (1 Corinthians 13:4), but took upon Himself, a flesh and lived among us and the way and manner He lived, many didn’t see Him as God, rather, a Son of man. Because of the love this One and Only True God had for us, He didn’t behave Himself rudely to us (1 Corinthians 13:5) as sinners, but, ate and drank with even sinners.
Because of this greater love, the world didn’t even know He was the One and Only True God (I John 3:1). Because of love, He suffered long for our sins (1 Corinthians 13:4), endured the penalty of our sins (1 Corinthians 13:7), was not provoked through the sufferings (1 Corinthians 13:5), and bore our sins on His shoulders to Calvary (1 Corinthians 13:7). Because of His love, He had created a place called New Jerusalem and taught us the truth of how we can get there (1 Corinthians 13:6), so when we don’t think of evil (1 Corinthians 13:5) and stop rejoicing in iniquity (1 Corinthians 13:6), we can get there too. Even in the midst of all our mistakes, His love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).
