SENSUAL WISDOM

Do not be WISE IN YOUR OWN EYES; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

There are about three main wisdom as far as Christianity is concerned: the wisdom of God, the wisdom of the world and sensual wisdom. The wisdom of God leads one into righteousness, holiness, and sanctification. That is why the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Psalms 111:10; Proverbs 9:10). On one of Job’s discourse on wisdom, he said when we fear God, that is an indication that we have the wisdom of God and when we eschew evil, that is understanding. And to man He said, ‘Behold, the FEAR OF THE LORD, THAT IS WISDOM, and to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”

The wisdom of the world also leads one to become familiar with God. The person no longer takes the Word of God seriously anymore. When such people hear salvation messages, they say you should stop judging them. They say that, no one is perfect so it is normal to sin. They say once saved is forever saved and there is no need of practising consistent holiness. They say God even understands when we sin because we are all Adamic descendants. They say the blood of Jesus Christ is useful when a believer sins so when no one is sinning, God will not have any work to do. The wisdom of the world is full of delusion and depravity.
The third wisdom is what God will be talking to us today. Sensual wisdom is the application of natural knowledge that benefits the body naturally. The wisdom of God through the inspiration of God said that you should fast today, but the sensual wisdom will tell you that you have to eat otherwise you will have stomach ulcer. The sensual wisdom centres one’s life on things that are natural and not things that are spiritual. Satan takes advantage of the senses and use it against us. To Jesus Christ, He saw the opportunity of breaking His fast, but Satan was behind that senses. What you like is what you will be tempted with.
The girl who have started entering your room all in the name of Bible studies or television, your room is not a temple or a cinema hall. I know because of your sensual wisdom, you will say but it is nothing. I am even stronger than Samson. I can even sleep in the same room with a woman and nothing will happen to me. Sensual wisdom is what will tell you that when you caress or kiss her, it is nothing. That is not sex. Sensual wisdom will tell you that it is evil to have sex with a woman, so you should masturbate because it is excretion of unwanted semen in the body. Everything is lawful, but it is not all things that are helpful.

Lift up prayers for the Spirit of wisdom so you can overcome the sensual wisdom that influences you to yield to all natural things in the name of Jesus Christ.
