SERIES: Day 7

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
-Matthew 5:9 | NKJV

A certain Pastor got warned for his approach to make peace between two well-to-do women who were busily fighting one faithful afternoon in the market. But he shrugged off the warning and went ahead. When he tried to make peace, one of them told him that, he should stop because he has no idea what he was doing and the hurt the other woman had caused her. As she elaborated, she said that the other woman has tried to lure her girlfriend by buying her a car, but she has no idea what she has been doing for her girlfriend by catering for her schooling and catching her young that she could take just few moments to snatch her girlfriend from her hands. The Pastor reasoned and knew that the two women were lesbians fighting over one girl.

The Pastor was very ashamed of himself for trying to make peace between two fighting lesbians. As he was first warned, he knew that he had to heed to the warning because it is not all peacemaking that is right before God. Before one can make peace, it is not when the two parties are lovers, but when they are foes. We were first lovers with God in the Garden of Eden before the fall. Everything was going around well but when man sinned, suddenly overnight, man was banished from the Garden of Eden and from then, sinners have become enemies of God and the wrath of God is upon such people. A sinner is not someone who sins only but someone who has not yet accepted Jesus Christ into his or her life as his or her Lord and God.

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, BUT THE WRATH OF GOD ABIDES ON HIM” John 3:36 NKJV. If you don’t have Jesus Christ in your life, all the good things you do is just making you religious and not righteous. All religions and denominations who don’t accept Jesus Christ into their lives as their Lord and God, are enemies of God. Because God wanted to make peace with man, He came as a man and died and saved us with His own blood. Anyone who accepts His love, is reconciled back to the life of the Garden of Eden. As God became a peacemaker, we also ought to become peacemakers because we are His images and likenesses.

It is not what I want to do everyday by writing devotionals and sending across for others to read but because I want to be a vessel of peacemaking. I am saved and I want others to be saved too. Many believers of today have disappointed God big time. We are always busy everyday for nothing. What God requires from us, we don’t it but we want Him to bless us when we have done nothing for Him. Souls are perishing and what are we doing about it? We learn for ourselves but we don’t learn so we can preach to others the saving might of the Gospel. We are like dumb dogs who can’t bark at the danger coming upon the lives of all sinners. And if we bark too, sinners, repent and stop the procrastination of your salvation and make peace with Jesus Christ while you still can!

Lift up prayers for the coming of the Holy Spirit in you so you can also be a vessel of peacemaking as a believer in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
Without the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, the Gospel is just one of the teaching lessons in a classroom.
