THE BELIEVER’S LIGHT

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Hovering upon the deep by the Spirit of God, it was the Word of God that was spoken into action to bring about separation between light and darkness. From then, it is the Word of God that has held this world of darkness like a pillar in place. Even though this world of darkness will pass away, the Word of God that holds the world in place will never pass away. As believers, we were once children of darkness because of the corruptible seed of darkness of our progenitor Adam. But now separated from the world of darkness by the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, we should no longer entangle ourselves by the yoke of sin.
After God has saved us, He doesn’t expect us to be selfish. We all has various testimonies to share about our lives. We must use our stories of darkness to speak to sinners who have been entangled by the darkness of sin. Many believers after been saved, think that sinners are far off from salvation because probably they think that their sins are much greater than theirs. You will bear with me that, you were doing worse than the others. It is by the grace of God that saved you from the seemingly ‘little sins’ you think you were doing. Those who are doing little sins can’t even get out of them. It is the power of God’s Word that saved you.
Now that you are saved, God has set you like an open spectacle. You have become a city that is set on a hill. Your life has become like a newspaper that the world is constantly reading to be informed and to amend their ways if the need be. Don’t hide yourself from preaching to others. Don’t say you don’t know anything. You can advertise a product or tell much about your business but you can’t talk about Jesus Christ. You are a shame to Christianity. If you are ashamed of witnessing about Jesus Christ, then you are like a city on a hill which is trying to hide itself. Jesus Christ says He will also be ashamed of you in heaven meaning, you will not have eternal life.
Many churches have abandoned women from preaching, saying Paul said so. A woman in the faith is not a female per se but someone who is a weaker vessel in terms of little knowledge about the Gospel or a new convert or someone without the Holy Spirit. If Jesus Christ died for only men, you will tell me. If the Holy Spirit came for only men, you will tell me. If you are a woman knowing that you are filled with the Holy Spirit, shine the light of the Gospel for souls to be saved. Many men have disappointed God big time, being cities who have hid themselves and being light who can’t even shine anymore. As we preach, we must also live our lives in all light of holiness, righteousness, and sanctification.

Lift up prayers for the grace of God to hold on to the light of the preaching of the Gospel of light and to live the life you preach and teach, illuminating the world of darkness you find yourself in the name of Jesus Christ.
