DEALING WITH LUST OF THE FLESH

The soul in you is willing to do what God wants but he is trapped inside a body which is weak to carry out the works of his salvation. The body is wired with all sorts of nerves, endocrine system, and reproductive system that are responsible for all impulses that stimulate senses and lust in you. Most especially, the level of hormones in the body differs from person to person and it is what stimulates the reproductive system to produce what is needful for procreation. God did all this to be used when the right time comes for marriage but because many people don’t know that they are stewards over the body they have been given, they misuse it to fulfill anything they feel like doing.
The hormones in you is what stimulates the lust or desire in you, mostly, from adolescence. But when someone hits the youthful age, that is when youthful lust is heightened. Satan knows that if he can get you at that period, you can really work for him. He knows that, that time is the best to use you to spend your body on the works of the flesh because you will think it is normal for you to respond to the natural feelings or flow. Many believers think when they have nocturnal emissions (wet dreams or menses in men) they think they are spiritually married to an evil spirit. It is just like you having your menses as a man indefinitely just like women have theirs definitely usually every month.
As a single woman, there is a feeling to be with a man sometimes because of your progesterone. As a single man, there is a feeling to be with a woman sometimes because of your testosterone. Many times, there is an erection every morning even if you are a anointed man of God. Anointing doesn’t quench hormones and you won’t see women as trees but God wants you to have self control as one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit so you don’t get out of hand to do what is not needful of you. When progesterone and testosterone are not brought under subjection, it leads to all kinds of masturbation, bestiality, rape, pederasty, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, oral sex, anal sex, etc.
To deal with the lust of the body, you don’t have to mingle with the opposite sex at odd hours. You don’t have to visit the opposite sex alone no matter how anointed or spiritual the person is. To deal with lust of the body, keep watch of your communications with the opposite sex and the same sex because there are homosexuals around. If you start seeing signs of sexual communications, end that friendship! Evil communication corrupts good manners. To overcome lust of the body, be watchful of what you eat and drink. Certain food, drink, or drug are aphrodisiacs and they are not good for you. Lastly, don’t tell someone you love him or her when you are not ready to marry.

Lift up prayers for the self control of the fruit of the Holy Spirit to curb all lusts of the flesh in the name of Jesus Christ.
