GREATER LOVE

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

There are so many love in this world. We have 1. Brotherly love 2. Erotic love 3. Love of the world 4. Love for money 5. Lust 6. Love for God 7. Biological love. 8. Greater love Brotherly love is the love for people outside your family. This is most experienced in the church. This is the love the early church had that made them sell their properties and laid them before the feet of the Apostles to help those who were in need. Because the brotherly love was working well in the early church, they had one mind that whatever person A had, was also the property of person B. No one thought what he had was his, but in the church now, that is not what is going on. That is why the Holy Spirit is not working as He used to do in the past.
Because no brotherly love is working, when someone is poor or he is sick, the church will not even visit or help him but when a rich man absents himself, the church will respond. Such hypocrisy! Erotic love is the love for romance and sex. It is what many men spend millions on but the lady will never leave her vagina for you when you sleep with her. She will never leave her breast, backside for her to fumble for eternity. No matter how beautiful your girlfriend is, you will meet another who is more beautiful than her. When you think about erotic love before marriage, it is just a waste of time. Love of the world is the love for Satan, things that concern him, and his systems.
Love for money is the crave for money more than what is desired. People never get satisfied for having money when they love it. Lust is the excessive desire for things that the eye sees, what the flesh wants and material things. Love for God is the love for God, things that concern Him and obedience to His Word. Biological love is the love for a biological sister, brother, father, mother, uncle, granny, niece, nephew, cousin and what have you. It is that love that people have through blood. For all these love, Satan has penetrated into many, preventing believers from having the greater love that will make them children of God. Loving God is not enough to make you a child of God.
Greater love is laying down your life for the salvation of others. It is greater love that I spend time writing to you everyday so you too can have salvation or be kept in the faith. I lose my time, strength, money, etc so I can be a vessel of soul-winning so the Gospel can be preached and taught. Please repent and don’t think I don’t have anything better doing with my life. Greater love is loving your enemies. Greater love is blessing those who curse you. Greater love is doing good to those who hate you. Greater love is praying for those who spitefully use you. Greater love is loving those who persecute you. It is greater love that separates believers from Christians.
