FOOLPROOF OF SONSHIP

The proof of someone who is a child of God is not tongue speaking. Many people fake tongue speaking, depicting that they have the Holy Spirit. Because we once knew that, the manifestation of the presence of the Holy Spirit is tongue speaking, many people think when someone speaks in tongues he is a child of God. To know whether or not someone has the Holy Spirit in him, it is the fruit the person bears. A good plant bears good fruit and a bad plant bears bad fruits. There is no way an orange tree can naturally bear plantain fruit. Many believers live their lives in sin and still expect to be children of God. That is not possible. You can’t be a Christian without the lifestyle of holiness.
If you have the Holy Spirit, you won’t speak in tongues and still fornicate. If you have the Holy Spirit, you won’t speak in tongues and still lie. If you have the Holy Spirit, you won’t speak in tongues and still commit abortion. If you have the Holy Spirit, you won’t speak in tongues and be at loggerheads with one another. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is love. This love is not only for those who love us, but those who hate us. When someone always love his enemies, it is a proof that, that person is really a child of God. God as Our father, does not only love those who love Him but those who hate Him, so if we claim we are His children then we have to bear such fruit of love.
We will bear with one another that, at first we were not lovers of God. Some were thieves, masturbators, pornographic viewers, champion fornicators, smokers, drunkards, wild partying attendees, liars etc but God didn’t kill us. He was always providing us breath of life to live. He didn’t say we are His enemies so when He is raining, He will not rain or shine for our benefaction. Why do you say you are a child of God, but you find it hard forgiving others who offend you? Why do you find it difficult to flow with your enemies? Why do you always retaliate anytime people offend you? The evidence is clear, you don’t have the Holy Spirit in you who should have made you bear such fruit.
The proof that you are a child of God is the Holy Spirit and without the Holy Spirit, you can’t bear the greater love. Christianity was not founded on brotherly love, erotic love, love of money, love of the world, biological love, love for God, biological love but greater love. We were enemies of God but He loved us and died for us. He didn’t lay down His life just because we were His friends. While we were still sinners, He died for us. Loving our enemies is the foolproof of who a child of God is. The reason Jesus Christ was the Son of God was because while He was on the cross, He asked the Father to forgive His enemies. He proved the love He had for His enemies by not seeking vengeance.
