THE MODEL PRAYER OF LEADERSHIP

And DO NOT LEAD us into temptation…..

The work of God which is evangelism and soul winning, cannot be achieved without the leadership of the Holy Spirit. The Great Commission our God and Lord – Jesus Christ gave us to do is all about leadership. We are obliged to lead people from the world of darkness into the world of light so their souls can be saved. The 120 disciples didn’t start the ministry of the Great Commission until they were filled with the Holy Spirit. It is the leadership of the Holy Spirit that gives us the power to witness. But the unfortunate thing is that, many believers are rather leading God and God is rather following because they are not ready to submit their will to Him for His will of leadership to be done in their lives.
Every follower has his self-will to quit following a leader, but it is a personal decision to do so. God doesn’t force anyone to follow Him. It was your personal decision to do so. He doesn’t repent for us; we do it out of free will. A good leader doesn’t command a following but through self-will, His followers do so. If we have accepted Jesus Christ into our lives, we then have to have humility to totally submit ourselves to Him so He can control us. The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 3:17) and we always have to pray to Him to lead us in everything we do. He knows the way of life, Godliness, and ministry more than us because He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
God has also given us authorities who are to lead us in life, Godliness, and ministry. Some are our Pastors, parents, bosses, Presidents, Kings, and what have you. Even though there cannot be any authority without the establishment of God, there are principalities who also have great influence on authorities. As there are good authorities who are led by the Holy Spirit, so there are evil authorities who are also led by evil spirits. That is the reason we have to pray for those in Authorities. The heart of an Authoritarian is in the hands of God like the waters and He directs it where He wills. If we pray for them, even if they are evil, God can turn them around for good.
You can be promoted to be a leader and it can be a trap. If you are not prayerful, how will you know? Leaders, it is not because of power, money, and fame that God established you as a leader. He established you as a leader so you can lead your followers into quiet and peaceable lives in all Godliness and honesty. Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, THAT WE MAY LEAD A QUIET AND PEACEABLE LIFE IN ALL GODLINESS AND REVERENCE -I Timothy 2:1-2 NKJV. It is good and acceptable in the sight of God for us to pray for our leaders, for our prayers can save our leaders.

Lift up prayers and commit those in authorities in your nation, church, family, school, workplace etc into the hands, so they can be led into Godliness and honesty in the name of Jesus Christ.
