THE MODEL PRAYER OF POSITIVE DECLARATIONS
David Abankwah
READ: John 17:26

…..For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
-Matthew 6:13 | NKJV

Making positive declarations doesn’t mean you are proud. God giving us the Spirit without fear means we are not to act timid and calm when we are not supposed to. Many people think when they are timid and calm, they are humble. It is never true. You can be bold as a lion and still be humble as a dove, and you can timid as a sheep and be proud as a wolf. It seems making positive declarations is nothing to go by, but they have a strong impact on our lives. Though they can tarry for years, but what we have said often in times past, is what is happening now. If words are spirit, then we can’t just utter evil and negative words and expect our lives to be smooth. Season your words with salt.

Many believers are going through hardships, crisis, afflictions and misfortunes, thinking it is God, but He has no idea about such things. If you accept to follow Jesus Christ, know that, it comes at a cost. The cost involves many afflictions but He will surely deliver. This deliverance many times, cannot be, if we fail to make positive declarations. When God was creating, He made declarations. That is the God kind of life. He declared His Word and it came to pass. If we want things to come to pass, God has already ordained power in our mouths to say things that they weren’t as if they were, because we were created in the image and likeness of God who said things to come to pass when they weren’t existing.

In the Lord’s prayer, the last prayer point that says, ‘For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen,’ is a declaration we are making concerning what we want God to be in our lives. God can be so many things in our lives depending on what we say He should be. We can make a declaration for God to be the Jehovah Nissi when we are facing failures. We can declare God as the Jehovah Shalom when we are at war. We can declare Him as the Jehovah Jireh, when we are in need. We can declare Him as the Jehovah Rohi when we need Him to lead us in decision making. We can declare Him as the Jehovah Shamah, when we feel abandoned.

Sitting down without making positive declarations, doesn’t mean God will have mercy on you when things are going on wrongly. God wants us to exercise the believers’ right that has power to change the fate of circumstances. When you have to do something and you are not doing it, don’t expect God to do that for you. God didn’t give you and I, the mouth to eat only, but the mouth to speak better things. Are you diseased? Then say, I am healthy! Are you struggling with sin? Say, I have overcome the world. Are you infertile? Say, I am fruitful! Are you jobless? Say, I am working! Are you single ready for marriage? Say, I have found the right partner according to the will of God!

Declare: I have power over sin and for that matter, I am no longer going to sin anymore; Declare: I am sanctified, I am righteous, I am holy in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
The projection of your life now, is the outcome of the injection of declarations in time past
