WORRY ABOUT GARMENT

Clothing is one of the basic needs of men. In fact one thing God did after man fell in the Garden of Eden was to rectify the mistake of indecent dressing. He provided man with the needed clothing (thus decent skin/leather garments). God cares about our needs even our garments. You can’t dress anyhow and still call yourself a Christian. If Christianity is in the heart and God only looks into it and not our physical appearance, then God would have been okay with the clothing of fig leaves made by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden after the fall. This has been explained better in one of my books called: THE LOST EDEN – THE DISPENSATION OF CONSCIENCE.
God is the One who provides us with what we need but at times we are stingy concerning the little we have. You want God to provide your needs but you don’t like giving. If your hand is a fist, holding on to what you have or have been selfish of, God cannot fill it unless the hand is empty. It is the giving out of heart and not grudgingly that God respects and pays back what is lot. Giving must also be done at its best. Don’t give clothing that are bad and wasteful to someone as gifts knowing that if such gifts were to be given to you, you would not have liked them. When God was giving a gift for the world, He didn’t look for the worst to give. He looked for the best gift who was His Son.
As you are giving, also make sure it is also decent. Many people repent from wearing indecent garments and give such dresses to unbelievers as gifts. If it is not good in the sight of God, throw them away or better burn them. Some too have good dresses, but they will never give some out as gifts knowing that a neighbour is in need. It is because of such selfishness that God doesn’t answer us when we pray. When we don’t meet the needs of others who are in need, what is the guarantee that when God blesses us to have much, we are ever going to be generous? We are blessed to become a blessing and not blessed to be selfish. I am always writing because I am always giving.
Why do you worry so much about the clothing of the body and not the clothing of the soul? God wants us to think about the soul more than the body. People dream and see their souls naked and they do nothing about it thinking it is normal. That is a wake up call. People dream and see their souls wearing tattered or worn-out garments thinking it is poverty. The garment the soul wears is his righteousness. If you ever have any need to pray for, ask God to clothe your soul with the garment of righteousness and stop worrying about certain dresses you are not having physically. The dress your soul wears is what is permanent and not what the body wears so stop worrying.

Lift up prayers for the generous heart towards those who are in need of clothing. Lift up prayers for the provision of the garment of righteousness for your soul in the name of Jesus Christ.
