SALVATION AND HYPOCRISY
David Abankwah
Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
-Matthew 7:5 | NKJV
Hypocrisy is the feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not. Hypocrisy is also the behaviour that contradicts what one claims to believe or feel. I used to have a friend who saw me as someone who was ‘bad,’ because I am someone who is principled, truthful, and holds integrity. If I am not pleased with something, even my face will show it. I won’t be laughing at you but deep within me I am hurt. Until I say what worries me, I will never be okay. But there was another friend of mine who was always seen as someone ‘good.’ He once told me that, ‘I can be laughing with you and all that, but I can be having issue with you in me I will never voice out for you to know.’
This friend of mine who didn’t want to voice out the wrongs of people was seen as a good person while I was rather seen as a bad person because I told the truth. And at that time too we were all believers and were living under the same roof. That is what many believers are. They pretend to be what they are not. Those who are frank are seen as the bad guys. Those who are frank are seen as strict people. Those who are frank are seen as difficult people. Those who are frank are seen as people who have entangled themselves with the truth that can not make them progress in this life. You can’t live your life as a liar and think you can make it in life, Godliness, and ministry.
You can’t pretend you are a righteous person but in your secret place you masturbate. You can’t pretend you are a righteous person but you steal company’s money. You can’t pretend you are a righteous person but in your secret place you drink alcoholic drinks and smoke. You can’t pretend you are a righteous person but in your secret place you watch pornographic materials. There is nothing you hide from men that God is unaware. With all the sins you do in secret you still have the gut to rebuke people who do the same thing you are doing. Many hypocrites are seen as decorous people but that is not what they are in reality. That is what many Ministers have become.
A false minister is a hypocrite who preaches and teaches but does not obey what he says. A false minister is a hypocrite who has sheep clothing as his outer garment but deep within him is the garment of a wolf. A false minister is a hypocrite who knows he is a blind guard but will not tell his congregation. Even if they have sinned and they have to be excommunicated by the elders, they will never do so. Your soul also needs to be saved too, Minister. If you struggle with sin, you can see your fellow Minister who is gifted with the power you don’t have so you can be delivered. Get help and stop being arrogant. Get help and stop pretending as if you are holy of which you are not.

Lift up prayers for deliverance from the spirit of hypocrisy so you can live your life in all truthfulness and frankness in the name of Jesus Christ.
Quote
Hypocritical believers have the garment of sheep but in them is the real nature of a wolf
