FIELD OF SOULS

Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

After having Jesus Christ as the best gift in your life, what He gives you is an inheritance. The sheep/fish is the property of Jesus Christ but when you have fellowship with Him, He chooses you to fill a seat to save and feed them. Based on the seats of the apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoring, and teaching, the work is just one: SOUL WINNING. Because many ministers have got the work of God twisted, they think the sheep is a world trade centre to make business out of them. That was exactly what the Ministers of the time of Jesus Christ were doing and He drove all of them out of the temple, pouring the coins of the money-changers and overturning their tables with whip made of cords.
Many Ministers started well when they were praying hours and fasting for the anointing to be Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, but when they were chosen to lead the fish (Matthew 7:10), they had turned the fish God gave them to shepherd over, into serpents (Matthew 7:10) by making them worse than what they were when they were in the world “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, YOU MAKE HIM TWICE AS MUCH A SON OF HELL AS YOURSELVES -Matthew 23:15 | NKJV. The souls that are won by certain Ministers is budget for their own prosperity and not God’s.
Many Ministers have entered the broad road and their God is not Jesus Christ but the god of food, money, fame, power, carnality, and traditions of men. They no longer pray and work for fish (souls) to be given by God so they can shepherd them but rather serpents. They have become blind guards leading people to the lake of fire. Satan has no better inheritance to give to you when you serve him. The children he has, are all serpents because he is first a serpent – that old serpent who deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. But Jesus Christ was the big fish that swallowed Jonah when he didn’t want to go to the sea of Nineveh to save fishes (souls) into the kingdom of light.
Because Satan has sent out many Ministers pretending to do the work of God but in reality, they are breeding children of the devil (the field of souls of serpents) and not children of God (the field of souls of fishes), you have to test the spirit of the church you are in, whether it is from God. If Satan even comes as an angel of light, then we need to be careful. You can be in the congregation of the dead and you will never know because you have not bothered asking Jesus Christ about it. Even as I have said it, many will read this devotional and will still not ask God about it. If you have been in a church for years and you still sin, then know for sure that you are not a fish, but a serpent.

Lift up prayers for the steadfastness in the kingdom of heaven, the grace to be fishers of men and the love to feed them when necessary in the name of Jesus Christ.
