KNOWING WHAT IS RIGHT AND DOING IT
David Abankwah
READ: James 4:17

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
-Matthew 7:11 | NKJV

You can be an evil person and still do what is good. That does not make you righteous. You can be a rich person and give alms as a good thing, but you cannot be a righteous person. You can serve the society with the best help you can give and still you cannot be a righteous person. You can be a religious person and still not be a righteous person. You can be a well dedicated person serving the health of humanity, but you cannot be a righteous person. Everything that is carnal does not serve the best interest of God. True worshippers do not worship God in flesh but in spirit and in truth. This is what makes you righteous, holy, and sanctified. God is served on His terms and not ours.

In Matthew 7:11, Jesus Christ stated that, there are many evil fathers who give good things to their children. As I said earlier you can be an evil person and still do good things but one day Jesus Christ will tell you He doesn’t know you. You can be seen as a father in ministry, doing signs and wonders, preaching and teaching for the worst sinner to repent, but if you don’t do the will of God, you can never have eternal life. It is one thing to believe in Jesus Christ and one thing to work out the faith with works. Jesus Christ came with His will, statues, commandments, or values. And to fulfill all righteousness, we have to step into the big shoes of Him and do what He did (Matthew 3:15).

Unfortunately many believers don’t know what is right but they always go to church. Many believers don’t know what is right because they don’t read their Bibles. Many believers don’t know what is right because they are taught by false Ministers. Many believers also know what is right but they are not doers of the Word but just hearers. If you know what is right and fail to do it, your punishment in the lake of fire will be too unbearable for you. And that servant who KNEW HIS MASTER’S WILL, AND DID NOT PREPARE HIMSELF OR DO ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, SHALL BE BEATEN WITH MANY STRIPES Luke 12:47 NKJV. It is even sin to know what is right and fail to do it (James 4:17).

We will all stand before the judgement seat of Jesus Christ and we will be judged according to what we did. It is then you will realise that Jesus Christ isn’t interested in the mansion you built for yourself, the cars you owned, the companies you opened for people to work there, the good things you offered to people, the ministration of preaching, teaching, signs and wonders you performed but the will of Him you failed to do. In this last age, the devil has filled many with pride, that, when you tell them what is right, they don’t accept. Your Pastor may not tell you what is right but if someone does, crosscheck with the Bible and see if it is right and obey, as God wants you to.

Lift up prayers for the grace of God to come to the knowledge to the knowledge of the Truth and the humility to obey and do what is right in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is in Christianity only that you can know what is right and have the power to do it
