CHRISTIANITY AND CRISES

And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

Even though the building was founded on a rock as the wise builder built it on, it was not exempted from crises. Christianity is that building and the foundation is Jesus Christ, the founder. For NO OTHER FOUNDATION can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST -I Corinthians 3:11 NKJV. This foundation is the Authoring and Finishing of our faith as the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross for us. After that, faith alone isn’t the only foundation Christianity is about. We must complete it with our works by working out our own salvation with fear and trembling as seen in Philippians 2:12. We definitely have to build on the foundation.
The building which is Christianity, is built by the Christian. But there are levels of building in Christianity. There is a 30% house, a 60% house, and a 100% house. Paul stressed on this levels by using gold (100% house), silver (60% house), precious stones (30% house), wood, hay, and straw (below 30% house) in 1 Corinthians 3:12. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, -I Corinthians 3:12 NKJV. Now these works or these houses will definitely pass through turbulent times or fire used by Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:13 to test its authenticity whether it is well grounded on the rock or it is just pretending. Crises will reveal your realness.
Many people say they are Christians but when their houses are beaten by turbulent times, you see them fretting, backsliding, falling and falling away. Christianity is not only about blessings but also about crises. But God is so good that, your crises will be based on the level of the house you have built. He will not bring a 100% crisis or fire to pass through a 30% house built. Hallelujah! No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD IS FAITHFUL, WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it -I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
All the foundation of our house is looking for is that, we continue abiding in Him and Him in us. There is no other foundation on which we can be steadfast, lest Jesus Christ. Three times was the house of Peter beaten by rain, flood and wind when he was confronted by three occurrences of denial of his faith on which he was founded on. Are you going to deny Jesus Christ because of temporal relief of the world or are you going to be steadfast on the solid rock on which you stand? Blessed are you if you are able to endure all crises till the end of your walk with Christ. All the tears of the crises we have been through will be wiped away by Him who love us for all eternity in New Jerusalem.
