THE RAPTURE
David Abankwah
READ: Matthew 3:12

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
-Matthew 24:30 | NKJV

Jesus Christ is a God who doesn’t destroy righteous and sinners together. Before He will destroy a nation or the world, He makes sure He first separate the righteous ones from the sinners before He can allow entry of destruction or chaos. Many people think the crisis of the world is the work of the devil. What evil can come into a nation of which it is not Jesus Christ who allowed it? If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? IF THERE IS CALAMITY IN A CITY, WILL NOT THE LORD HAVE DONE IT? -Amos 3:6 NKJV. The rapture is going to bring chaos and eternal death on sinners, the devil and his synagogues, but eternal life and endless joy for the saints.

During Noah’s time, when God wanted to destroy sinners, He first separated or raptured the saints into an ark (as a representative of a safe place) before. During the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire, the Lord separated the saints (Lot and his two daughters) or raptured them to another location of Zoar (another representative of a safe place). That is what the rapture will be. Jesus Christ is going to separate the saints to a safe place, thus the sky, before judging Satan, fallen angels and sinners and casting them into the lake of fire that will burn them for all eternity. Will you and I be raptured on that great day or you and I will be left behind? Will there be fear or faith?

For the first coming of Jesus Christ, He didn’t come to destroy or to judge the world, but to save it. For that reason many people think God is not going to destroy the people He had created in His own image and likeness with unquenchable fire. But the second advent, rapture or the second coming of Jesus Christ, is not going to be about salvation but about judgement. On His first coming, He came as a lamb who came to take away the sins of men but on His second coming, He is coming as a lion ready to hunt. On that final day, the angels who hold the four winds of the world, will separate the world into two main people: the harvest of sheep (saints) and destruction of goats (sinners).

The sheep (saints) will be raptured into the sky to meet the Lord and those who will be left behind will be destroyed with the lake of fire eternally. If you don’t know Jesus Christ is capable of destroying sinners with fire, then remember Noah’s time and the time of Sodom and Gomorrah. If you don’t know what rapture is, remember after the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, when the saints who were asleep. They were raptured into Paradise and are now waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ. If some were left behind in Hades, then on that final day, some people are going to be left behind on that great day of the Lord. Sin is the gravity that will pull you down, making you unable to ascend.

•| Prayer Diary |•
Lift up prayers for the grace to lay aside every weight of sin that will make you unable to ascend or raptured on the second coming of God in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
Sin is the gravity that will unmake people ascend on the second coming of Jesus Christ
