LAKE OF FIRE/SECOND DEATH

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the LAKE which burns with FIRE and BRIMSTONE, which is the SECOND DEATH.”

Many people think Hell/Hades/Sheol is the same as the lake of fire. It is not. Hell is a temporal resting place for sinners who are awaiting the second coming of Jesus Christ such as Paradise is also the resting place for the saints. Hell is not the final place God has prepared for them. The lake of fire on the other hand, is the final/eternal place reserved for Satan, the fallen angels, and sinners. Hell is a place of torments though but its torment cannot be compared to the lake of fire which is the second death. The agony of the lake of fire was solely prepared for the devil and his cohorts and not the images and likenesses of God, but you choose to go there at your own peril.
God has given free will to man to choose His eternal resting place of New Jerusalem or the lake of fire depending on the life that mortal is living (Deuteronomy 30:15, 19; Jeremiah 21:8). God, knowing this eternal horrifying place has given man a second chance to amend his ways by dying on the cross for us. He didn’t give such a privilege to the fallen angels. I believe if Jesus Christ had died for the fallen angels, many of them would have repented. God doesn’t expect us to find ourselves in such a place. If we are warned in the Bible that Hell is even a horrifying place, then how much more will it be in the lake of fire?
God has not yet judged the world. All we are seeing is just His punishment. He punished the people in the time of Noah with flood. He also punished the people of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone. Those occurrences are all His punishments and not His judgement. The judgment of God is the lake of fire and this judgement is eternal. The prototype of the lake of fire is what God rained on Sodom and Gomorrah. Imagine you are suffocating in a lake and then burning by fire at the same time, what do you think the feeling will be? This is what is going to happen to sinners for all eternally. No word can ever explain such weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth, pain etc.
God created angels as wind and some (Ministers) as fire, so fallen angels being in hell is not enough. God has prepared a fire that will burn a fiery angel for him to feel intense pain he has never experienced before. If a fiery angel will be burnt by another fire, then this eternal fire reserved as judgement for Satan and his cohorts, is not a joke. Because hell is temporally, reserved for sinners, hell will also be judged and thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14). To confirm that the lake of fire is the second death, the first death (the spirit that separates the souls of men from their bodies) seen in Revelation 6:8, will also be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14).
