THE TWO BUILDERS
David Abankwah
READ: Luke 14:28-33

The WISE woman BUILDS her house, But the FOOLISH PULLS it down with her hands.
-Proverbs 14:1 | NKJV

We have two main builders: the foolish builder and the wise builder. The foolish builder just get up and build without planning but the wise builder plan well before attempting to build (Luke 14:28). We have heard about God but many don’t know what He requires from us. We have heard about Christianity and we are now in, but we don’t know what it is. Before you can come into Christianity, you should first plan well how you can build on the foundation set by Jesus Christ. Because many believers don’t know what to build, they are often misled by their Shepherds. The main focus of building has shifted from holiness to prosperity; from trials to easygoing, from fasting to feasting, from truth to lies etc.

If you are a wise builder, you will surely know that the building God requires from you is holiness because without holiness, no one can see the Lord. If you say no one is perfect, then it means you are a foolish builder. It is only foolish builders who think holiness is far from reach. Passing your academic examinations which mainly centred on your own learning, was achievable, but why is holiness not achievable with the help of the Holy Spirit? It is high time we laid every weight and sin that easily beset us. The focus of your building should not be material things, for what shall it profit a man if he gets the whole world and loses his soul? The focus of your building should not be marriage, for there is no marriage in heaven.

The focus of your building should not be centred on looking for secular work because the only good work is the work of God. The focus of your building should not be based mainly on praying for a child, because the child you are praying for, can be shapen in iniquity. The focus of your building should not be based chiefly on easygoing life, for in Christianity, there are many tribulations before you can have the crown of life. The Holy Spirit doesn’t stay in any building apart from the building of a wise man who has founded his house on the rock of Jesus Christ. If you have built on the sand of money, house, car, wife, marriage etc, the Holy Spirit will never come into it.

The house you are building in Christianity, is determinant on the kind of life you are living now. Don’t expect a brick house when you are building with wood. The type of house you are building determines the spirit that is living in you. If you are building your life with lies, murder, and theft, then the spirit of Satan is living inside of you and your body has become a church of Satan. The type of house you are building too determines its visibility. You can’t build your house of Godliness under a bushel. It can’t be noticed. That is why it has to be built on a hill. You can’t say Christianity is under the bushel (in the heart) so the appearance of the house (your body) doesn’t matter.

•| Prayer Diary |•
Lift up prayers for the wisdom of God to build your house of life, Godliness, and ministry in righteousness, holiness, and sanctification in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
The Holy Spirit can only stay in a builder whose building is founded on holiness
