CHRISTIAN HEAD COVERING

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
-I Corinthians 11:7 | NKJV
The truth that men should not cover their heads when praying, ministering or during church activities, doesn’t mean men have to dress their hair anyhow. If the head of all men is the head of Jesus Christ, then the head region of men have to be taken care of, physically and spiritually. There are many men who don’t wear any hat or head covering in the church, but in their closets they wear caps, hats and other head coverings when no one is there. So who are you trying to deceive? Do you think you are serving Jesus Christ for me or for your Pastor or for someone else? Do you think you are deceiving God? You are deceiving yourself. If you dishonour your head as a man, it will be every difficult for women to respect and honour you.
Covering of the head of woman or uncovering of the head of a man is not for your wife or husband’s sake. The Bible didn’t say in 1 Corinthians 11:7 that the head of wives is the glory of their husbands, but the head of WOMEN is the glory of MEN. In that case, many married women who cover their head well, do so because of their husbands and the singles dress their head too because they are looking for husbands. They hide their makeup kits, indecent dressing, and they dress well so they can attract a decent man to marry. We don’t dress well to attract anyone but we dress well to please God. No wonder many men have married women who used to dress well in the church but after the marriage, their dressing has changed.
Man be careful of so called women who dress well in the church and put on head coverings as if they are holy. Some are long term projects of the devil sent from the kingdom of darkness. Don’t be enticed by any woman’s dressing. You are not going to eat their dressing and don’t be mindful of it because they are not dressing for you. A new convert has to be taught about decent dressing, but a church member who has been taught for a while and is still adamant about it, has to be excommunicated. You can’t do anything you like in Christianity. Even in your home, school, workplace etc, there are laws. But when others come into the church, they want freedom, right, and democracy from the laws of Jesus Christ.
The very head of a man is the image and glory of God. The grey hair is a splendour to the aged men, and the glory of young men is their strength. When the young man Samson gave her strength to a prostitute, he lost his glory. Now to the elderly, don’t blacken your grey hair, for you can’t colorize it (Matthew 5:36). Don’t bleach your hair too because your hair is the glory of God. When you have your hair shaved, shave it as a godly person and not as the world does. As a man, the glory of God need to be seen, so don’t cover your head by hiding the image and glory of God in His presence. But for women, since Jesus Christ is the head of the church, the glory of man need to be hidden and that is why you have to cover your head.

Lift up prayers for the grace of God to dress well both physically and spiritually, so the glory of God will be seen and not hidden in the name of Jesus Christ.
