CHRISTIAN HEAD COVERING

For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.

Angel in 1 Corinthians 11:10 can mean two things at the same time: physical angel and spiritual angel. A spiritual angel is the spiritual being in heaven created by wind/spirit (Psalms 104:4) to fulfill the purpose of ministration and messaging. God can send such spiritual angels to attend to the spiritual needs of men (such as answering of the prayers of the righteous, guarding them, fighting for them, healing them etc). Spiritual angels were created on the first day of creation (Genesis 1:1, Job 38:7a) after God finished creating the heavens and all its hosts. After God was done with the creation of the heavens which took Him years (1 day in our sight but 1000 years in His sight), then He moved on to the creation of earth.
So it took many years for spiritual angels to exist on the first day of creation and that makes sense for Lucifer’s rebellion to take place in Revelation 12:7-9 before he was overthrown with his cohorts to the earth. At this time, God was already done creating the earth. It was the fallen spiritual angels who made the earth formless, void, and empty in Genesis 1:2. Even though there are many spiritual angels in heaven, throughout the Bible four main names of spiritual angels are spelt out: Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel, and cherubim/cherubs. Another type of angel called physical angels are ministers who were created in the image and likeness of God to shepherd the church.
There are five main types of physical angels who are to shepherd the church: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher. When Jesus Christ was giving instructions to John the beloved, He urged him to give such to the angels of the seven churches (Revelation 2-3). These angels were not those in heaven but human beings whom His Spirit was working through them to oversee the church. The authority over the head of a woman as she puts on her head covering is both for physical and spiritual significance in the presence of both physical and spiritual angels. Adam was the physical angel of Eve in the Garden of Eden because he ministered to her about the Word of God. Without Adam, Eve would not have learnt about the forbidden tree.
But when the authority over the head of Eve was not around, the devil won her. Anytime a woman is without a head covering in the presence of God, she stands before God without a head or any symbol of authority and she becomes vulnerable to fallen spiritual angels. In the presence of God, a woman without a head covering is like a believer without the helmet of salvation. Spiritual angels function based on authority and God of all spirits also functions as such. God respects authorities/leaders. Don’t ever think God responds to your prayer or ministration as a woman when you don’t cover your head in His presence or when you don’t have any symbol of authority on your head in life.

Lift up prayers for humility as woman to possess the symbol of authority over your head by being submissive to the Word of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
