CHRISTIAN HEAD COVERING

Another reason women have to cover their head when praying, ministering (preaching, teaching or singing) and when she is in the church is the understanding that, she was created from man. Eve was not created first before Adam, but after Adam was created. That is why it is Biblically incorrect for a man to marry a woman who is aged in years than him. God is so wise that He first created Adam before Eve. He wanted Adam to be more matured before bringing him Eve. He wanted Eve to give Adam the maximum respect and honour he deserves. He wanted Eve to recognise that Adam was her head and not her neck so it would be easier submitting to him despite her pride.
He wanted Eve to realise that without man she would not have been created, for she was created out of man. Eve saw the truth of what God wanted her to learn when Adam said, she was taken from him, that was why she is called a woman. Adam reminded Eve who her identity was to keep her at bay. When a woman is aged than a man in marriage, it is very difficult submitting under him. It is of such instance that many women who are aged, richer, wealthier, of higher status, famous etc than the Pastor think they can do anything they want in the church. In the church, there is no President, King, Queen, Manager, Manageress, Actor, Actress, Artiste, Celebrity, etc.
You can’t be in the church and still walk in the shoes of your identity. In the church, there is only one President, King or Head over us all; His name is Jesus Christ. Many women pretend to be more submissive to their Pastors in the church but they don’t do same for their husbands at home. Such hypocrisy. They cover their heads in the church but when their husbands admonish them to do same in the house when praying or ministering, they turn deaf ears. Why are you living a dual life – an intractable woman in the house and an amenable woman in the church? You have to know the truth that you were taken from man and anything a man instructs you in the Lord, you must do it.
Today, because of gender equality, many women think they are at par with men and for such mindset, they can’t submit to any male head figure in their lives. It takes a Godfearing woman to be still submissive when she in a higher position. Another reason women have to cover their heads is that, women were created for men and not vice versa. It was because of the purpose of help meet for man that was why women were created (Genesis 2:18). Don’t make a godly husband’s salvation difficult for him. You are to help him ease his burden of salvation. In that case, you must obey everything the Word of God has instructed especially concerning the covering of your head.

Lift up prayers for constant awareness and remembrance of where God took you from and where He has brought you so it will be easier for you to submit and humbled in His sight the name of Jesus Christ.
