Another area names have impact on is your MINISTERIAL LIFE/WORK OF GOD. How successful you can ever be in the ministry of which God called you whether it is Apostolic, Prophetic, Evangelistic, Pastoring or Teaching is dependent on the impact of your name. When you look through the Bible, there are examples of those who started well in ministry but they couldn’t end well. If you had ever read through your family well, you will realise that those who were in ministry and failed to end, were bearing a certain ancestral name. The same fate that happened to them is likely to happen to you if you don’t stand well in the Lord. The meaning of certain names can ruin your ministry.
You will never understand why certain people are doing well in ministry but you wonder why you struggle. It is not that you are not chosen or called by God but because your name(s) has/have wrong meaning, it is affecting your ministry as well. The meaning of certain names affect the growth of the church. Some affect your leadership in ministry. You will always be an associate Pastor or assist another Minister run a church but you can never lead one. Some names affect how you will face various evil and temptations in ministry that will ruin your entire ministry. You will hear of certain Ministers who started well in the truth of God’s Word but now they are false Ministers.
Before you can become a false Minister, you had first been a true Minister and vice versa. And such occurrences happen because of the impact of their names. Stop attributing every evil thing to the devil. Sometimes such occurrences emanate from your own name. The effect of how your ministry will be, is dependent on the cause of the meaning of your name. Some names are very fruitful in ministry that when you have, God can use you to touch the lives of many souls. Even soul winning is affected by names. Before Simon could have a large church and even win more souls, Jesus Christ had to give him a new name (Peter). To do well in ministry, sometimes you have to change your name(s).
When Simon was renamed, he stood and spoke after the Holy Spirit filled him and thousands gave their life to Jesus Christ. He stood again and spoke and thousands again gave their life to Christ. He went to the house of Cornelius and spoke and thousands gave their life to Jesus Christ. Paul went about doing the work of God mightily but he couldn’t win the souls Peter won just because the meaning of the name Paul is ‘SMALL.’ You can be very anointed but if your name has an adverse impact on ministry, you can fight to keep the souls and yet they will still leave the church. Jesus Christ, being successful in ministry was because He had Alpha and Omega as His secretive name.

Lift up prayers for the activation of your good name that has a successful impact on your ministry. Pray for your name to be changed by God if it had to in the name of Jesus Christ
